your right the spoiler looks bad on this car, that kind of spoiler is best a coupe, not a sedan. The top lip spoiler I think looks good. They sell these on ebay but im sketched as everything claims they dont fit properly, yet these chinese guy's who cant speak proper english clam they do!

because the picture doesn't really justify why the lip looks "better" then the spoiler. it just shows one spoiler in a sea of lips...
I still like the lip though, I'm just saying.

^^^ i agree on what you are saying....i would like to add couple things in my defense (why am i talking like a lawyer 
)
1> what crowd !!! see the 2nd pic....i see 5 TL's....2 of them have a deck lip spoiler....out of which 1 is a TL-S (comes with a spoiler) and 1 is a regular TL....so if i throw a lip on there, i would be amongst 2/7 TL's which is ~28% of the TL's. If i have a spoiler....it would be again 2/7 TL's....which is ~28% again !!!
2> just to be not amongst the crowd I will not put 24" chromes or put side vents on my car or something like that.....i would put a roof spoiler, deck lip and some window vents, aspec front and rear....rj sides.....i bet that would put u outta the crowd !!!
I honestly think lip and the spoiler is a personal preference !!! some like it some dont....i luved my spoiler till i got the lip....i really like how the lip completes the car....with the spoiler there is something missing !!!

No need to hate on the Spoiler! 
lol I got an IS 300 Spoiler so Its got the Brake Light on it and direct Fit! So far people said looks good when I use the Brakes
But I don't mind the lip either.

I'm not a fan of either spoilers. In my opinion the spoilers take away the sleek look of the standard lip that is part of the trunk lid and extends out over the tail lights. With the lip spoiler it just looks like there is something missing above the inner sides of the tail lights, and the wing spoiler is just flat out ugly.
