Any recommendations on adhesives for mounting the Type S emblem on the front grill?



Only adhesive that seemed to have good reviews is: 3M 08061 Plastic and Emblem Adhesive.

i've seen this a few times and go back on forth if i like it but overall i think it looks nice (if someone truly does have a type s). reminds me of the audio s emblem placement.

are you going with the oem one or the ebay one? the ebay one is a lot bigger and i think it stands out too much.

as for adhering, i would just use strong 3M double sided tape.

I do have a type-s, and completely agree on it looking like the audi s emblem on the front of the S4's, etc.

I'm going with OEM (part # 75722-SEP-A62) since I've read mixed reviews of the eBay knock-off's. 3M tape crossed my mind since it seems less messy than an adhesive, but I wasn't sure if that would hold up to extreme weather conditions (I live in New England). The Die Cut Tape by 3M I heard was good, but it's crazy expensive.

I wouldn't do it - if you change your mind in a year or so you will have unequal discoloration in the grille

I remember this thread from awhile ago, he used the steering wheel bottom piece type-s emblem and i thought it looked nice since it's smaller. I feel the trunk emblem is a bit too big. That piece is expensive though..

So I followed my heart and mounted it today, figured if I got sick of it I can easily remove it. Actually doesn't look too bad.

I saw this post a while ago, but if you're more than 10 feet away from the car you can't even see it. It's also probably hard to find that emblem for sale.
