Ask your dealer how much it would be if you supplied the parts, just labor costs. Or check with other members in your area for a good indy shop to do the work. Again, you supply the parts.

I paid close to 480 for the timing stuff, spark plugs, idler pulley, thermostat, and then CA godly tax.... 46 bucks in tax!!! I hope that helps with the budget crisis.

Thanks for that 20% hook up. I wished you could ship fluids to me.

OK so I just called my dealer and got a quote for the parts and labor of the 105k service.

First, there are 2 options: 1 being the super duper everything included in it service with timing belt, water pump, drive belt, spark plugs, air filter, cabin filter, other shit etc and they said for parts and labor it is $1600. Hell no.

The other option is the general 105k service which includes everything in this kit: timing belt, water pump, drive belt, tensioners. The dealer said the total for parts+labor is $875. The price for JUST labor is $696, and that is because the parts+labor option is a coupon price and that is why it is cheaper.

So if I bought this $300 kit I'd still have to spend $696 at the dealer = basically $1000. If I do the parts&labor coupon service from the dealer it is $875, $125 cheaper. So, even though this looks to be a great deal from wholesalepartsguy, it looks like I would be doing it all with the dealer since it would be cheaper.

Of course, this could be just the dealer in my area and not the same for everyone in other places.

That is a great deal if they are using all oem parts. That means they are paying 179.00 for parts and charging 696.00 labor =875.00 I wish we could do that here. We are in cali where the taxes alone scare off the customers. Hope it works out for you !

Stupid question, but these are Acura oem parts right? I'm guessing that my local dealer is trying scare tactics to get me to buy everything from him, cause he says some of the parts you buy online are knockoffs and don't last. Please don't think that I am trying to acuse you of that, just want to make sure they are Acura oem before I buy.

Please email price shipped to 50315 Iowa for the timing belt kit. e-mail = dmtrinh@iastate.edu , cat is 2007 Acura TL-S

Does Acura recommend you change out the auto adjuster collar and timing belt idler also while doing this timing belt service? I just bought a 2007 TL-S with 98,xxx miles and need the timing belt replaced here soon. Just curious about the parts I mentioned above, trying to save as much money as I can by not buying extra parts that are not needed with this timing belt procedure.

Thank you!!

Come visit me in Chicago. Found a reputable and proven Acura Master Tech and he did mine for $710 (including the pulleys and Sparks).

Just ordered from Larry. Great guy! Thanks so much for the deal man!!!

If any of you are in socal, I will be getting my 105k serviced here for a pretty good deal. Heard he was a master tech at Honda so I will be giving him a shot. He's only charging me $250 for labor, which sounds pretty good, consider the dealer is charging about $6xx.xx??

WholesalePartsGuy, do you recommend the TB special for a 05 TL with 38k? Some say it should be changed out every 7 years or 105k miles. Thanks.

That is a good question but I would have to recommend a timing belt change even though you have such low miles. The reason being, your timing belt is a rubber material that over time gets cracks in it due to heat exposer. Sometimes the only way to see these cracks is to remove the belt and flip it inside out, so it is not always obvious. I think that is the lowest miles I've heard of yet on an 05 TL.

Yes the special is still going and does include everything to do the timing belt service (except coolant). Some dealers also recommend doing a valve adjustment at the same time in which case you would also need valve cover gaskets ($5 each) and sparkplug seals ($2 each).

^ check different dealers in your area. All 4 dealers in my area quoted me different prices. And also if they have a website you might find a coupon there.

Here is an awesome write-up if you want to DIY https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/122-diy-105k-service-timing-belt-water-pump-spark-plugs-thermostat-%2Apics%2A-784622/ ... I'm not even going to try it myself.

You could always ask your dealer what the labor and parts are separately and buy the package from wholesalepartsguy and have the dealer or someone else do it for you

I can sell you the kit for 320.00 shipped but you would have to pay taxes on the 320.00 so it would be around 350.00 . You would have to call our service dept @ 707-578-1300
THanks Larry
