Someone jump on this: '08 KBP TL-S w/2 tone interior, 14k miles, original owner

2008 ACURA TL TYPE S ORG OWNER, 14,000 MILES, LIKE NEW, STOCK, BLUE

This car looks like it was garage kept and only driven on the weekends. $24,000 though; wasn't there a 6.8k NBP TL-S being sold for $25k?

....James, where are you?

Wow, nice find!! I'd be interested but I still have my MRP 6mt with the same mileage. I'm content for now :-)

And yeah that is awfully similar to the one I saw listed last year or whatever it was. Still show one owner so I wonder if the guy changed his mind back then or something.

Exactly 1 year ago, I came across a pristine ASM 07 type S AT with 15500 miles for $22500 and snagged it ASAP. No regrets.

And that's exactly what you gotta do!! If it's a rare find with low mileage you gotta move quick. It's now been about a year and half since I found my MRP 6mt with 5,000 miles and still love it.
If anyone is even somewhat serious about buying a Type S and wants the best available this blue one could be the one you jump on asap.

Don't know what you would be gaining in mileage but all your mods could be switched, no?

Most could be switched, save for the a spec kit. But I would only be gaining about 40k. Mine was at 17k when I bought it 3 years ago, and I'm at 57k now.

I just moved to the North Burbs. Libertyville/Vernon Hills area.

It's funny I actually called the guy up and was like could you make a video of the engine cold start with hood up? He says the vehicle is stored in a secure storage facility that he has to go through a lot of trouble to access.....lol wtf.

Haha if it's the same car I really would laugh. This guy drove 1000 miles in a year. Would you be able to dig up his information again or no?

No I wouldn't be able to get his info, but in the craigslist add he has his contact info. Whats odd is I swear I remember when I talked to the guy in the add from last year, he said he bought it from the original owner and is basically turning around and selling it, but it was still technically "one owner" since he never even registered it (which is not legal). Since this new add says one owner and is a year later there is no way he could have kept the car that long without registering it to be able to still claim one owner. So even though it seems like its the same car, there is a chance its just a huge coincidence that there happens to be two identical KBP/black 5at Type S's with extremely low mileage for sale in the Chicago northwest burbs.
Either way, I like what I see in the pics and the add is put together nicely. I like the picture of all the original booklets and window sticker and all that good stuff. Like I said before, if I was in the market for a one of a kind vehicle that is literally the only one like it available in the country, I would be jumping on it.

Anyone buy this one yet? If I still lived in the Chicago area I would be checking this one out. This is a rare find with the color combo and low miles.

Tells me people don't want to pay $24 large for a 7 year old car, and that the owner is stubborn. I would be too.

With a lot more miles and ugliness. The thing is there will ALWAYS be someone out there that is looking for a one of kind low mileage example. He isn't listing it anywhere but craigslist so I don't think he is all that serious on selling it. Maybe just leaving it posted and if a buyer comes along for that price great, if not whatever. If 60k+ mile vehicles are being sold for around 18-21K then I see no reason that an extremely low mileage one couldn't be listed for a few thousand more. Remember, the fact that its even possible to think about getting that amount for a 7-9 year old vehicle is a GOOD thing. You guys realize that we are Acura owners and we want our vehicles to have good resale. Why people come off acting like its a bad thing boggles my mind a bit.
He told me he would buy mine for 25K if his sells...Like I said there is always one out there that wants the best of the best.

ugly is completely subjective, i personally like the 4G looks. so in that case, there isnt a single thing the 3G does better. this coming from a former two time 3G owner. if you think otherwise you are delusional.

I am delusional. There is a thing the 3G does better and that would be resale value Maybe in some cases fuel economy too, I dunno.

Remember there are two favors of 4G: 09 - 11 and 12 - 14. The 12 - 14 has significantly less ugliness.

Yup. Because the 09-11 TL is sooo terrible looking I have seen people literally trying to give those things away. And if its anything but top of the line SH-AWD tech then forget about it. 12+ is worlds better, but now your talking about 30+K and especially that much or more for Advance package models. All of a sudden low 20's for a super low mileage Type S isn't looking so bad.

I don't have sales numbers here, but I don't think any version of the 4G sold nearly as well as the 3G

The 4G is ugly, period, doesn't matter what year, it's either ugly or really ugly.

The 3G is lighter than a 4G, so there's one thing better

Quick Reply: Someone jump on this: '08 KBP TL-S w/2 tone interior, 14k miles, original owner
