Quick Tips to Install the '07-'08 Base A-Spec Front Lip on a Type S
#41
I'm about ready to pull the trigger on doing this but I have a couple of questions:
1) This is lip isn't available in ASM so I'm going to have to buy a different color and have it painted. It looks like there's a body colored seal/edging on the top edge of the lip where it meets the sides of the bumper. Would this seal/edging be paintable?
2) I've noticed that some have had some problems with the sides pulling away from the bumper. Did everyone use double sided tape? I wonder if some silicone sealant or epoxy or construction adhesive would hold better?
Yes, I realize this is an old thread.

Yes, I read the thread - several times. Did you even read my question? All I wanted to know was if anyone (not necessarily you) used adhesive rather than double sided tape and if they had better results with the issue of the sides pulling out.

I used double sided tape and have no issues. I don't think anyone has used epoxy it's hard to get a good clamp on it until the epoxy sets. But if you go for adhesive, put your results up here so people have more options. Good luck!
