Not Another LED Thread
A few weeks ago I got some http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cree-XBD-800LM-Super-White-30W-2825-168-W5W-Running-Parking-Led-Lamps-Bulb-2-Pcs-/331140651322?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d1985593a&vxp=mtr that vietxquangstah suggested.
They've been pretty effective as you can see in the photos I posted in that thread.
I have VLED switchbacks in front and know that I'll likely be able to score some reds on sale sometime in the next few days.
My question isn't about the quality of VLED's.
I'm wondering about some other options since I'm just getting red.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/231281315264?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
And I was also wondering if anyone had any experience with the red LED's offered from autolumination
Edit: after searching for autolumination on the forum instead of autoillumination , think I will be experimenting with eBay again unless anyone else has some suggestions.

Those red LEDs you linked should be BRIGHT.
My old DRL LEDs appear to be the EXACT same design.
They were advertised on JLCLighting as "30W Cree 9005 LED".
Too bad one of the bulbs kept going bad, so I upgraded to the GTLightingUSA ones.
autolumination has sketchy customer support, from experience.
Their bulbs held up very good, though.
The reason why I don't recommend them is because they are very expensive.
Might as well give the money to VLEDs, because you know they'll back you up if something goes wrong.

Those look pretty promising. I'm using VLED 7443 red "platinum" series bulbs.
RED PLATINUM 21 LED TURN SIGNAL BRAKE LIGHT BULBS 7443 7444 7440 | 1 PAIR - 7443 - 7440 LED - Shop Bulb #
They're pricey at $50/pair (got them 35% off VLEDs was running a promo code at the time so really $32.50) and I've had them since Jan 2013 and they're pretty damn bright. I don't think the Triton v3 RED is worth the money because of the price but I haven't seen them in person..
I do however have v3 triton front switchbacks in 5k.
V3 Triton REDs - 210 lumens - $110
Platinum REDs - 170 lumens - $50
v3 tritons are 25% brighter but cost 220% more!
Those Ebay red leds you linked are only $25 shipped. I would definitely try those out. They seem to be high quality. I used to have 68-SMD tower RED led for rear turn signals and those could not be seen during the day especially with the sun shining against the back of the car.

So I decided to experiment with the eBay turn signals. They came packaged nicely today and I got them installed.
Here's a short video for you guys, new LED's on left, stock halogen on right.

Looks great, way brighter than stock, no serious hot spotting. The center may be brighter than the top bottom, but I'm not about to get close to inspect it.
I have VLED's 5K switchbacks out front, I really do like them, but for the cost of VLED's vs these. Hell I'll be in your state next week, we can do a comparison if you'd like I'll be Chicago coming from Ohio.
