New battery 72Amp Hr

Hello, new to the site here, so sayin hello! First time TL owner btw.
Picked up a 07 Base TL Auto in great shape, 97 k miles, had new timing belt & tensioner replaced by dealer just b4 I bought it so glad thats out of the way. Very good maintenance shown on Carfax also all done by the same dealer.
I did a tranny fluid drain & fill and will repeat 2x more within 2000 miles. Also changed the 3rd & 4th gear pressure switches also as a precaution.
My battery went bad so I looked in the owners manual to see what was needed and it requires a 72 amp hour battery. Wow, very hard to find! Finally found a Interstate MTP-24F (Megatron Plus) which carries a 75 amp hour capacity with 800 CCA. The old battery was installed 8/2011 so it lasted about 3.75 years. It was 60 amp hr battery (Interstate MT35) so a little short of spec.

Just wondering what your battery life has been like and is it that big a deal to have a 72 AH battery as the book says?

BTW, this is a really neat car and I'm really enjoying it so far!

No it's not a big deal to have a 72 AH battery as the book says.

Just buy any battery Group size 24. Brand choice is up to you.
