Need some help
I am interested in purchasing a 2008 Acura TL but it has 130,000 miles on it. Is that high for an Acura tl? And also has anyone else had problems with their TL with higher mileage?

No, and depending on the mileage, higher mileage equals more problems, but at 130k miles I wouldn't worry IF everything checks out during the inspection/road test. If your not familiar with the car/mechanics, have a mechanic or dealership check the car over. With 130k miles, the timing belt, plugs should have been changed, but you'll need to have someone verify this or you'll be quickly dumping @ $1000 into the car.

130K is nothing, assuming a properly maintained history, especially if those are mostly road miles. As Turbo said, make sure the TB service was complied with.
And IIRC, the AT problems that plagued earlier models don't seem to be prevalent for 2008 models?

I haven't heard or read of many AT problems in the 07-08 vehicles compared to the earlier years myself -they seem pretty solid overall. I agree with the above, as 130k really isn't high mileage for an Acura provided it has been properly maintained. That said, with a high mileage vehicle, many of the wear/tear components start to give out, assuming they haven't already (eg. bushings, shocks, engine/transmission mounts, etc). No big deal for the mechanically inclined, but just be prepared to factor that into your consideration as well.

I agree with the others that have already posted. If you are truly concerned about the mileage, surely you can find an 08 with lower miles than 130K. That is unless the mileage of this particular one is getting the price into your budget.

I have an 05 TL with 130k that I have owned since it had 40k. Maintenance is the key. Only problem is people who are selling will say whatever to get it sold. If it has been maintained then it will do 200k easily! Friend has a 04 with 275K. Thing runs brand new! Oh yeah both our cars are 6-speeds.
