Finally met up with paperboy for a side-by-side comparison
Left is me and right is paperboy. His is brighter but due to faded the faded covers and 1 led it looks a bit yellow.
Overall $30 for these plug and play are worth it!

I have iJDMtoys DRL in my 07, the bulbs burnt out in less than 3 months, emailed in for warranty. Never got anything back, emailed them again, they said I was out of warranty and didn't have proof I emailed them. You have to use the email function on their website so you don't get a copy. Shady company, wanted me to purchase another set of crappy bulbs for $60 after I just bought them. No thanks, done with IJDMtoys crappy china L.E.D's. High priced EBAY bulbs IMO. The license lights do look good, but like others said, id go with Vled after our experiences here...

Curious to know why you guys want to draw more attention to your car. Especially your license plate. Around where I'm from, that just gives cops a reason to pull you over. They get extremely suspicious of modded cars- those rear license plate bulbs just scream "look at me!"

Also, is it even possible to see the plate writing? All of the posted photos make it very difficult to read the plates. Is it just the photos/cameras, or is it really like that?

I disagree with you TacoBello and don't get me wrong Most of the new cars come with 5000k color temperature license plate bulbs - same as on the picture (right side - Paperboy). They brighten up the license plate better than the stock bulb and in the same time they make that rear end of the car look cleaner/newer. You can't read the license plate on these pictures due to the camera settings or simply owner privacy. I think you would draw more attention to the police with barely visible license plate rather than this.

I thought the idea was to smoke out or darken your plate area as much as possible, no? Forget the super white LEDS. We'll keep them in the front.

This has been brought up before.

Yes, you can still read the plates fine. It's just the picture.

You can get bulbs similar to paperboy's on ebay. Search up Cree 7440/7443 or T20 (Same thing).

It is much brighter than OEM LED lighting on other cars, lets leave it at that

The police won't pull you over for them unless you're trying to get pulled over.

It's a nice bright white output. Nothing illegal about that. Looks like what stock BMWs and new Fords have, but brighter.

Now on the other hand, if it was blue or green then yes, you would give them a reason to pull you over.

Try to use some scotch tape to give you a little better grip. it should come straight out

I've heard of individual LEDs going out on these bulbs.

They are BRIGHT though.

A little pricy but they do look good I wonder if there's a way to find a clear cover like that w/o having to buy the lights too. Or maybe polishing the OEM covers could work??

34104-S0A-013 is the code for the lens if you mess it up and you need to buy new ones. Around $8 each.

That said, iJDMtoy is only making like 5 dollars on each sale of these. They're not really trying to rip anyone off.

Yeah i know I'm just thinking I already have 8 spare bulbs for my license plate, I don't wanna spend 35$(plus shipping and possible import fees) for another set of spare bulbs and plastic covers :P

You can grab them on eBay for $32 shipped from China if you change your mind.
It's going to be difficult to beat 18 down facing SMD leds though, just so you're aware. There's no reflector behind the original housing, so you'll need a really powerful LED (or many) and then I'd get wary of heat.

I'm already happy with the bulbs I got. They're 9 facing down but they're small so they're not crazy bright. I'd look into clearing the covers but I don't think I'll change the bulbs again. What are you using on your license plate?

Cheap eBay 20 SMD LED bulbs. Bright enough for me without being crazy.
