Talking iJDMToy License Plate Lights!

Didnt see any reviews for this, so here it is!

After doing a full LED conversion a while back, the only thing I had trouble changing was the license plate bulbs. The housing gave MINIMAL space and for the bulbs that did fit, they burned out quite fast. So I stumbled upon iJDMToy's #S17 for $29.99 and I had to try em out. I'll let the pics speak for themselves. It's comparable to paperboy's IMO

This is what I've been looking for....normally, the regular led bulbs brightness are Dulled by the cover but these are actual LEDs with replacement cover.

Will order ASAP.

Little on the bright side no? I still can't figure out why guys want the brightest possible lights ever for their license plates. Why not just get a LED that puts out a normal amount of light like stock or newer cars that come with LED plate lights. Can't wait for the day someone here tries to install HID license plate lights lol.

In the picture they look amazing, just what I'm looking for, but for some reason, apart of me will be disappointed once I try them out and they don't look bright. They don't seem so bright on the ijdmtoy website.

I find it hard to believe that these 1210 LEDs would be stronger than paperboy's cree.

I have used iJdmToys for lights and they are great! I would highly recommend them. I have their license plate lights and flexible LED strips for the front.

Yeah this seems overkill. I'd also like to say the overall quality of iJDMToy's stuff is less than stellar. I stick with VLEDS.

The stock license plate light exterior cover is pretty hazy. If I can somehow find a clear cover(like the ijdmtoy one) it would definitely allow more light to pass through.

My cold cathode setup is clear. You can just use thin lexan and seal around the opening.

I don't know if yours needs to be brighter though lol

I laughed really hard when I read this because it's true. The VLEDs Triton switchbacks are amazingly bright and look great.

I'm thinking about buying these just to use the clear covers so my lights can shine through more, and maybe double up on my LEDs.

The license plate bulbs on my TL from iJDMToys just burnt out and they're only a couple months old. Going to try some where else.
