Help my DMM look badass....

Hey guys,

My first choice was a 2006 Altima SE-R black 6MT but the car had been in an accident and the car salesmen were being super shady...That being said I just bought a 2004 DMM base 5AT instead

I love the way my car looks but I want to make it look like less of a grandpa mobile. I am going for all aesthetic mods and I have a budget of about $1500.

Here are my order of mods:
1. Lip spoiler (already installed)
2. Tint
3. Brakemotive brakes
3. Aspec kit
4. RDX brake caliper covers(already have G2 black paint and Covers)
5. Accord Foglight mod

I was thinking of doing black highlights on the car (ie grille trim pieces, possibly plasti dipping oem wheels gloss black)

What do you guys think? Open to suggestions

It's a good start for a list of mods. Keep working at it and if you check other threads on this forum, you'll get more ideas for what could be your next possible mod.

Welcome to the forum.

Congratz on your new ride and welcome to the community. Don't forget to add coilovers and rims to your list. Post some pics when you get a chance to.

When you mean the lip spoiler; you are referring to the aspec lip, correct?

Note: Since you stated 1 and 3 individually

Get Aspec front and Tein Basics. Once you lower it, toss on some wheels to set it off. But looks like you are off to a great start.

congrats on the new car!

Your going to go way over that budget lol
Most important part of a cars look is the stance (rims, coilovers, camber kit). Its also one of ht emost expensive parts of modding

One of my first mods was a Rear Sway Bar upgrade. It's an inexpensive performance improvement that will make you love highway off/on ramps.

I bought an ebay lip spoiler not the aspec wing spoiler

I have yet to buy the Aspec lip kit.

I think I'm going to stick with OEM rims and stock suspension for now because I don't have the budget for coilovers/rims/camber kit.

I will post pics of my trunk lip install when I get a chance.

I guess my goal is to do a limit myself to a couple big mods(Aspec lip kit, Tint) and then do some little mods to make it look more agressive.

Here is what i'm aiming for: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3806292/2004-acura-tl/

Ya that car looks nice. But hes lowered on coilovers lol Wheel gaps hideous...same car with wheel gap wouldnt be as fresh

You can keep the stock wheels. Just get spacers to push them out a bit.

Congrads on the purchase, just do your mods a bit at a time

Congrats, I think DMM is a color that sometimes gets overlooked, but its a great color! Dougboy's is a perfect example of a DMM done right. Sounds like you have a good plan, the A-Spec kit alone will make a significant difference in the overall appearance of the car. Happy modding!

Woo Hoo! Just won over $300 in bowling prize money (we got 1st place) Time to put it into my car haha

Yep I already have a set of 4. I was thinking of painting them either black or another color like gold to be unique. I know the non-brembos are kind of ugly but the cover makes them look decent. Gold with a black Acura decal would look cool IMO with DMM

I agree my DMM looks sexy. I clay barred it and waxed and it was looking real good. Especially with tire shine.
I think the Aspec will definitely be my next mod. Just gotta find somebody who has one for a decent price...

Dougboy has some sweet versions of his DMM. I really like the 3rd photo down: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=830438

Also Instead of buying new rims I was thinking of painting my wheels similar to the lexus IS 350 f sport rims : http://wot.motortrend.com/refreshing...#axzz2SCgVRCyU

I of course would buy different center caps with a chrome A symbol and paint the center black. I would use silver metalizer over black plasti dip to make the gunmetal-ish color.

Think this set up would look good on DMM? or only on darker colored cars?

As for spacers: I've been looking and it says 15mm in front and 20mm in back looks to be the best combo as long as they are hub centric spacers.
I looked up prices but its about $500 total for both front and rear...

Good call on doing them piecemeal. I really just want to do them all at once since the weathers nice here in Seattle now

Very nice. Now get type S tails and side markers and that would really tie it all together.
