Is this a good deal on a used bumper?

Hi all, I found this at a junk yard and the asking price is $400. I can't tell if it's an OEM. If it is, is that a good deal? Thanks in advance!

A good condition (looks like it in the pics) bumper with an ASPEC lip (if in fact it is OEM)at $400 is a good deal.

That's what I'm thinking, can't really tell from the angle if in fact it is OEM. Thanks for your opinion!

If A C U R A is indented in the lower center part of the bumper then it is OEM.

If there's clean take the wheels too and get them reworked if they're not mint.

Nice, they look like A Spec wheels. I would pick those up too if they are in good shape with no bends. Well, as long as the junk yard isn't asking $$$$ for them. You can always sand them down and repaint them or get them powder coated.

I may have to consider the rims as well after a thorough inspection of course. I did ask about the headlights and they said, $400 each...

for a junk yard bumper, I would offer no more than $150.

I bought a used engine from a junk yard for $650
a vital part of what makes a vehicle run for $650.

junk yards are a hit and miss

some things they price too expensive and some things they price ridiculously cheap

400 for each headlight?

I've never bought anything from a junkyard before, so you think I negotiate that low? Thanks!

yeah, I don't understand the pricing of junk yards. I think new OEM headlights are around $480 and asking for $400 is kinda like, "WTF?

junk yards are not like dealers.

in essence, they make up the prices. sometimes, you have to get tough with them, well because they are scrappy junk yard ppl.

I deal with a ghetto Vietnamese guy, its fun to go back and fourth with this guy.
me:"c'mon man!"
ghetto viet: "my family needs to eat"

^ Eat what? Steak and lobster? Lol.

No that's not a good deal on a used bumper. Unfortunately, the salvage yards know what it's worth. It usually comes back to supply and demand.

I actually called again this afternoon and spoke to someone on the bumper, now he's saying the bumper is no longer for sale. Apparently, it was unloaded improperly and split the bumper in half. Who knows. On the plus side though, i asked about the rims and is willing to sell just the rims for $300 for all 4! If they are truly a-spec and in good condition, sounds like a steal to me. Unfortunately, i can't get them so anyone in Georgia want to go get them, go for it. If you need more info, PM me, thanks!

400 for any bumper is pretty much average and top dollar.. So I wouldn't necessarily call it "a good deal". A good deal would be 300 or cheaper than average. But if it is only a front lip, then I would think 300 would be top dollar. But if it is rare, and the right color, then 300 might be ok. Its up to you! How bad do you want it?
