Which 3 wires??

Ill just post everything again so its all organized

off the Relay Harness:

- So i cut the green off the skinny connector and extend it in through the firewall and then connect it to the green wire on the connector that the switch plugs into.

- Then the red/blue one, I have to connect it to the battery. So I gotta add wiring from the battery run it through a in-line fuse, to that wire.

off the Switch Harness:

- The blue wire taps into the parking lights

- Green comming in from engine bay (off the skinny brown connector)

- Black is ground

- The red and red w/ black stripe are not used

How did u guys mount them, i find that they look a bit too pushed back because of the aspec lip interfering in the front. Did you people with the aspec trim the bottom of the bezel so it sits above the aspec lip a little bit?

Heres pics of when i was testing it out lemme know wat u think. And i ended up cutting too much off the bumper, so i guess i will have to tape it unless i get some sort of L bracket and bolt it to the frame

^I did mine w/ the bumper off because I was adding hids, so I mounted it from the back w/ clamps. for the placement I had the same issue, I did trim some off the bezel but end up having sitting sligthly on top the lip.

I am doing mine right now and i cut a little at a time on the first side to get an idea of how much to cut. I am thinking about converting the left over area to a mesh grill type. I think it would look good.

Hey guys, I was wondering does the 06 TL have a similar fog light installation set up as a 2006 Honda accord? In Canada, we have DRL, and don't have fog lights.

Here's the video for an 06 accord fog light installation:

^ its not in the engine bay, it's inside, driver side upper left, by the knee panel. Once you remove the knee panel you will see it better

ok, the switch is working, when i turn the parking lights on and press the button the light comes on but the fog lights do not come on and there is a buzzing sound coming from the black and grey relay switch. i triple check everything inside the car, but im not to sure about the wires under the hood.

I was planning to install the OEM fogs from Honda on my 04 TL. If I installed everything that came in the kit box, will I be able to run HID's without installing an addition relay harness? Thank you.

I can tell you step by step on what you need to buy and do

Trust me, I was an electrical noob when I wired my fogs the first time. To connect wires together, I stripped off the insulation and just twisted the two wires together and electric taped it - ghetto.

A week later, I re-connected the wires using butt connectors.

That what I did currently, but now I want it to have its own switch. Do you know where I can buy a legit OEM Honda fog kit for low price? The lowest I saw cost $248 before shipping.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=120686745263

I bought my OEM fogs from them =)

I don't quite understand your situation, though.

"That's what I did currently" - does that mean you already wired your accord fogs?

We can wire your fogs to be independant. It'll be similar to what I did, except you won't be tapping into the parking lights lol

As of right now, I have the ebay accord fogs with independent fog light without the switch. But now I want to do it over again, but get the OEM Honda fogs because there are so much glare from the ebay fogs. When doing this, I want to properly connect the fog to an independent switch, the way that OEM does it. I want to properly ground it and have the ability to turn the fogs on/off independently. Hope you are understanding what I am trying to say.

So you're saying you used a switch to control the fog lights on and off independently? Also does the fog switch fits without any modification and does it illuminate? Btw is the fog kit you bought from ebay glass lens or plastics? Thanks.

How I wired them (and most people who wired to their parking lights), the actual switch is not illuminated, but the indicator is.

There is a bulb for the switch illumination; just don't know how to make it illuminate currently.

Nope, what I'm saying is I wired them to my parking lights, but I'll be able to show you how to wire them independantly, because it's pretty much the same except you're not tapping into the parking lights.

The fog light switch fits perfectly without modification. That's because it's OEM. As to illumination, read above =)

The fog light kit I bought on eBay is OEM from Honda.
Therefore, it's glass.

^ that installation is for the Honda accord, its modified to fit the TL, if you follow the DIYs you should be able to install it without any issues. I did the installation without using that but the DIYs, GL.

I tried looking around the forum and couldn't find the DIY I wanted. All I saw was fog wiring tapping into the parking light and one with Ebay fog kit. I'm looking for a detailed DIY with lots of pictures for OEM Honda fog and I'm trying to wire the switch so that it is independent on its own. Do you have any DIY you found helpful? The best two DIYs I found was from sixsixfour and guitarplayer16.

^ If you have your lights on all the time (auto), yes it will blink since you're tapping into the park lamps.

The OEM kit: ~$50 from eBay.

Wiring stuff like wire, in-line fuse holder, butt connectors, splice connector, etc: $20

You're looking at under 100 bucks for this job.

I know I definitely paid more though since I had to get my fog kit sent up here in Canada, and I also did my install with Type-S grills (add another $90).

yup. the switch is a toggle, so if you leave it pressed (on) it will fire up the HIDs whenever you lock and unlock the car.

that, I think, would be bad for your ballasts, so I would suggest you turn the fogs off before you lock the car

That, or tap into the low beam fuse or make them independant hehe (tap into constant power wire)
