You spent all that loot for a front end conversion then you want to save a couple of pennies and put in generic fog lights that aren't meant for the car.

Get the OEM ones or keep the car without fog lights. I strongly advise that.

Bro they are 200 dollars a piece, that will come out to more than $400 after taxes, can you tell me whats problem with those Hella lights selling on ebay for $60 bux ?

Check out handaaccessories.com a lot of times, they have other offers for cheaper.

I NEED HELP!

I want my fogs to come on with my lows...NOT my parking lights (so I don't have to remember to turn them off since I have HID's and I don't want to burn the ballast every time I lock/unlock my car. Which wire, under the dash near the switch is for low beams to tap in, please?

I know I can run a wire back thru to the front, but I'd rather find the one I need right there and switch the source.

Thank you!

Jeremy.

I noticed you replaced the lights with: 6000K H11 HID kit

are your headlights stock?
If I do this mod and keep my headlights stock but want to put in a HID kit for the accord fogs, what would you recommend?

Thanks, much appreciated!

-headlights, yes they are stock
-it depends. i just put the 6000Ks because i couldnt find 5000Ks at the time

both the accord fogs and the OEM fogs are 6000K, but since they are of two different brands, the OEM ones look more blue than the accord fogs.

thanks for the quick reply

is that why you purchased separate bulbs to make them go together with the OEM headlights better?

your setup is sick and definitely inspired me to try this project

lol the HIDs i put in both sets of fogs just happen to be whats available at the time, but my intention was to have either all 5000K or all 6000K.

so currently, despite having an OEM color low/high, 6000K OEM fog and 6000K accord fog, all 3 look different.

hey guys,

can someone perhaps take a photo or explain which wires they tapped into for the on/off button? i read through the entire thread and it seems everyone tapped into the parking light wire, but which one is it and is it accessible under the steering wheel??? I apologize for my noobness lol

Also, did everyone just use 16gauge wire for the power and connection through the firewall? Muchas gracias!

is there any difference in the OEM Honda Accord Fog Lights with the Ebay accord fog lights? i mean, do they project the light output the same or the difference is just the switch? because comparing the price of the ebay one's to the one's on the dealer is way off lol...thanks for the help

There's probably a slight difference in quality. The ebay ones can be pretty good...read more into the thread...you may regret saving the money down the line when you have glare issues.

All right ... due to my ignorance in wiring knowledge I have probably spent hours trying to connect my accord fogs and now I have finally given up for today ...

PLEASE HELP! So I decided to go against the switch as I figured, although it may look cool, it won't be as useful a function for me as I probably won't be turning it on unless my headlights are on as well. Nonetheless, following the directions of this thread (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...oglight&page=3), I connected the blue wire to an in-blade fuse holder with a 10A fuse which was then connected to the + terminal of the battery. As for the green wire, I connected it to an "add-a-fuse" device thingy for mini-fuses to be used in the underhood fusebox ...

Now ... I looked at the existing fuses for both high beams and low beams and they all seem to be using 10A+ fuses ... yet this "add-a-fuse" tap says that the amp ratings should not exceed 10A for anything being connected to the device ... to which fuse am i supposed to be connecting to then???

Sorry for the trouble nd thanks in advance @___@

There's really no exact science to it man. Just do a little at a time until they fit snug in the shape of the opening.

I CAN tell you you'll take some off the top and bottom 3 or 4 inches of the inside part (when facing the car) and the top right and left of the outside part to get it to mimic the shape of the opening. You'll see.

How hard is it to get the fogs shinning or pointing in front of the car correctly? Also how hard is it to get them to stay in the proper position? And how are they held in that position?

Mine are ghetto as hell...they are wedged in there...on the inside I have a screw screwed into the plastic. On the right side I nothing.

Compare the left and right as you do it for depth. If you shove it in the corner they will kinda point outward, but that's the nature of the beast.

Look up threads by me in reference to this...I took closeup pics and posted them somewhere on acurazine. They will be helpful to you two.

PS>..I spent the first hour and half wondering what a moron I was and why the fu*k I would cut up my luxury car to do this mod. Then when I was done...I thought...wow...that looks stock.

shit, I might have found them.
here:

Hope this helps fellas.

No problem man...I didn't take offense...just didn't think I made it sound easy. I was regretting even doing it till I got the bumper back on!

Mine both point outward...so not straight...but I think it's the nature of the front of our car vs. the front of the accord (being "flatter")

Lights are ~55 for the kit and then you have about 4 hours worth of work, or you can pay someone to do them. I charge 160 all said and done, including lights. OEM are way over 300, and these are nicer looking IMO.

OK so I'm ready to do this mod! I need to order my set of accord lights but I need confirmation now that a few people have had them for awhile. Are the kits on eBay total crap or is it worth it to spend the extra on OEM? I heard someone mention DEPO kits too, I dont see anything mentioned in any of the listing on eBay about the manufacturer being DEPO is there a web site where you can order the DEPO kits? Is there a particular eBay seller anyone recommends? I know some of the lenses are plastic and some are glass I want to make sure I get the glass ones if I do go eBay route. Also If I do go eBay I want to order the OEM accord switch does anyone know the part # off the top of their head??

^Ditto on the OEM accord switch. I have the glass fogs from ebay, but they came with the flat shaped JDM switch. I can't seem to find the OEM accord switch anywhere.

I really don't want to spend $300 on the real thing, so if any one has an idea of how I can get a hold of the OEM switch to match the TL switches, fill me in.
