I checked the main fuse box didnt see any blown fuses, on the green wire I am not getting a 12v read. Getting no more then 2.9v
I did everything the way you said except on part 2 after you connect the blue/white wire to plug it back in, I waited to i had everything connected
dont know if by doing that i blew something, if so I def, want to know where to look at
man i knew it was to good to be true, everything was fine didnt break nothing found the firewll hole quick daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn

If this helps...I fix stuff for a living. When I found I did some thing wrong and can't figure it out and not much help from others...I found if i walk away from the problem for a bit and come back to starting from step one on how to do it like I never did it in the first time helps. Also from what you saying it sounds like you have a short of some sort ...so you really need to verify you did every thing proper. My guess is you taped in the wrong wire. Stressing about only makes it worse so try not to stress and think you can figure it out.....it's not brain surgery is what I tell my self and I'm smart enough to figure my problem out.

just cut the wires i had, vsa lights dont come on when i turn the fog ligts on, im at work and didnt bring all my tools, so im going to wait until 5 when i get home.
i wonder if the wiring is different on my car...it should be the same.

there is no other green wire, funny thing is the fog light should be on?
its not.
when i get home i will plug everything back
hopefully the combo switch is not bad, i doubt it cause parking lights and all work just fine and its not that expensive
i sat down read your post 10 times over and over, even have it printed out pictures and all, i still cant figure where i went wrong.

ok I got home and the problem is the green wire
its not giving me 12v so the fog lights will now power up with 2.8v
is there another ACC cable i can run it to, if I put it straight to 12v line
Ill be able to power on the fog lights while the car is off
and my wife drives the car sometimes and I know she will leave it on and come back to a dead bat.
or even me half sleep going to work.
i might try the acc wire on the ignition switch and run a second wire through the fw out to the engine bay.

In step 2 do we use the light blue/white wire or the dark blue/white wire in 2005's? I guessed it should be light blue/white....but may be wrong cause I have it on light blue/white and my fogs do not work.

Also in step 2 it says "Cut the blue/white wire and connect the switch side of the wire to your thinner gauge extension wire" But in the pictures it looks like it is connected to the wire harness going away from the connection/switch. So do we connect to the wire going in to the connection or the one going away?

You connect to the blue/white wire going away from the connector which goes to the switch
I'll fix my guess on the light blue/white wire to the bark blue/white wire tomorrow.

GREAT DIY!!! Bout time someone posted this up. I get questions about this all the time and I just direct people to bheldson's thread. It has to be better to have independent control though....and no messin with relays....I have to do this now.
I have the DRL module since 2006 but I can't tell you how many times I have wired and rewired this damn thing and it is out again. It is always a problem with a connection or the module itself. I am on my 5th module. Thank God the company is good about it and always gives me a new one under warranty.
Now I am thinkin about puttin in HIDs (and you can't do that with a DRL module) I'm lookin into doing things this way once and for all. It seems easy to screw up things with the wiring but I am going to go slow, plan ahead and use a voltmeter. Thanks!!!

I fixed my mistake and works perfect. Thank you Roger555. May want to add it's the dark blue/white wire. I must be a little color blind cause the pictures to me look like it may be the light blue/white.
I did some thing a little different others may want to do. Instead of hacking in to the wire harness in step six for the accessory power green wire that powers the windshield wipers, instead I ran the blue/red wire in step five that I attached the thicker gauge wire to the relay wire threw the fire wall and used this in line fuse holder that has a nice LED to show if the fuse is blown (that I have a 7.5 amp fuse in and works)

then plugged the tap in to the inside/under dash fuse box at location #22 that is open/not used and get power only when car is running.

I want to have my foglights turned on all the time like canadian DRL even when foglight switch is off ,controlled only by ignition key is the any way to do it ? like connect some wires in the switch?
don't want to install DRL modul just some quick connction

Thanks to Roger I finished this mod today. There is no reason to chicken out here guys. If you are careful enough you are not going to screw up the wiring on the car. This can be considered a simple 2 wire hookup. It's not overly complicated, it just seems that way. Just follow the directions as stated. For those of you considering this as an option to use these as DRLs, here are some pros and cons to doing the DesignTech module compared to the Independent OEM switch control:
Designtech Module pros:
4/10 in terms of difficulty of install.
Works in DRL mode 80% power instead of 100%.
Has a delayed shutoff circuit.
Retains OEM functionality once the headlights are turned on with 100% power.
Dashboard fog pilot light functional.
Easy to reverse the mod to OEM.
DesignTech Module cons:
Works automatically, no independent control.
Costs more.
Module is not all that reliable.
Cannot use it with an aftermarket HID kit without additional wiring.
Independent OEM switch control pros:
Complete independent control. On or off at any phase as long as the ignition is on.
Use of the OEM switch, clean OEM appearance.
Cheaper.
No additional relay needed.
Turns on and off with ignition.
Can use in conjunction with an aftermarket HID kit.
Independent OEM switch control cons:
6/10 in terms of difficulty of install.
Installation is more complicated, wiring access is tricky.

Just blacked out some headlights and put LED strips in, then did some custom fog lights with the type s bezel and did this fog switch trick. I think this was the best DIY I have done yet. Took about 30-45 minutes. The hardest part was working in the engine bay tapping into the relay.

I found the 10a inline fuse holder and everything. But when I tried to wire it to the green wire, it doesn't work and there are two green wires and none of them worked.

Ah now I see where I screwed up and ended up blowing my light combo switch in the car. Haha, I did the same as Joe Foe and taped the light blue wire instead of the dark blue, needless to say. I won't be attempting this again for awhile lol Acura raped mi wallet on this one.
