There's always the steering wheel buttons, but I agree with you it would bug me to no end too.

I replaced my cassette with an 8 track player years ago. I actually have some old Grateful Dead bootlegs on cassette that get some playtime in the TL. And passengers get a kick out of seeing it.

I like this plate, but if I'm 100% honest, it looks a bit big to my eye. I'm going to try to contact another vendor and see if I can get one made that just covers the hole. I think it'll look a little funny with the eject button visible, but could look cool as well, with just the A logo on it. We'll see.

Here's my cover, I switch between this and Appetite for Destruction. There's all kind of quality tunes for next to nothing, it actually sounds pretty good lol.

No way man, when I feel sleepy behind the wheel I just whet my pinkie and stick it in there. That electrical zap gets me going every time.

Definitely top 5 reasons I stuck with the 3G.

This thread is morphing into something interesting, and telling me a lot about some of you at the same time .

Thought it was used as a mini heater to keep your shifting fingers warm during those cold starts?!

I think black brushed aluminum with an embossed or lazer etched "acura" logo (not A symbol) would look best. I would make the font much bigger too. how can I get that and how is it mounted?

Why not expand its functionality? I've never tried it but I found this bluetooth cassette adapter on amazon:

Good luck finding that, and paying for it . I make silver and black for the Lotus community, but the black isn't like anything in our interior, it's a high-gloss black. The plate is held on by 2-sided tape. Again, I want to be clear, I have no plans to sell these plates to the Acura community, I just wanted something for my own car.

If anyone covers up their cassette hole and doesn't mind removing the cover flap inside, I'd be grateful if you could mail it to me as mine came off and is sitting somewhere inaccessible at the back of the tape deck! I'd really like to bring it back to stock with that flap and don't think you can buy just that piece without the whole darn thing! 🙄
