I'm also kinda wondering why you are concerned with them being in series or parallel when you are not worried about heat. LED's wont burn up your headlight case. Just provide whatever voltage and current your LEDs are rated to handle.. boom done.. you only have to worry about series or parallel if you are using bulbs like mine..

Also note... DRL's are in series from oem. The fogs are parallel. So paperboy is incorrect about that.
