I was driving today and noticed a really nice looking dark blue TL. It was stock and probably 20% tinted, but that's the way I like it. I jumped onto acura.com and only found a light blue "Royal Blue Pearl" and that definately isn't the one I saw on the TL today. So I was wondering if the yera 2004 and/or 2005 had this darker navy blue type color and what interior color did it have?

Royal Blue Has been the only Blue, maybe you saw a custom job..? or maybe the way the sunlight hit the car or something?

I have a 2005 which is Abyss Blue Pearl. 2006 went to Royal Blue Pearl. They are very similar in color. Hard to tell the difference unless you own one or the other.

THAT is one good looking TL AND the color I was referring to, looks like they pulled it out of the 2006 lineup

I don't know why they got rid of the color for '06. Mine is an '04 and it has really grown on me. You just don't see too many around...it stands out more...

Oh yeh, my interior is Quartz. I think they offered Camel also???

i wish they had the black interior for this Abyss Blue Pearl ext... The quartz looks bad, or too "old" for someone my age (early 20s). the quartz gray is the only other option but it looks kinda cheap

i might go for a white ext/black int. ahhh.... the choices haha

I have an 04 ABP exterior with black interior. I love the color, and you are right in that you don't see that many around.

What is the percentage tint on the TL at the top of this thread, it looks really good.

Abyss Blue....the color gets more awesome as I look at it.

Slightly off topic, but they used a blue TL with I believe camel interior in last week's show of "Numbers" (CBS, Friday night). Even used the navi to get directions though it seemed to imply it was accepting the street address verbally. Acura must be stepping up with the product placement $'s

My first post here...I just bought my 06 TL with NAVI a week and 1/2 ago. Royal Blue Pearl with Quartz interior and did the 35/20 tint...it really looks great. They only had 1 blue with NAVI...I was going to get something more neutral but when I went back for the tint a week after driving it and looked at all of the colors I had considered, I had absolutely no regrets on my choice. It rocks! I have not compared to the 05 version...maybe 05 is a bit lighter/brighter...not sure.

ok for all of you guys, I just got my royal blue pearl 06TL which is only less than 4 weeks old...ROYAL BLUE PEARL is a dark blue? you guys need to get your eye checked if you're telling me that RBP isn't a dark blue?

RBP is a dark blue with a sort of indigo'ish/deep purple tint

I have the RBP, and I can't really tell much difference in the color from the '04/'05. There is another blue TL in my parking lot at work that I think is ABP (don't see the cutouts for the tire pressure monitoring), and while I sometimes think it's a little bit darker than mine... I always see it in the shade. My car looks darker to me when it's not in direct sunlight... so my eyes, at least, don't see one as dark blue and one as light. If they are different at all I think the older ones may be SLIGHTLY darker, but not very much.

They both look good to me.
