Those are called "Type-S" Diffusers (07-08).... They are half clear and half amber. Base model for 04-08 is amber everywhere.

What is the quickest way to remove this "clear coat" that you put on the headlights?
Chipping away with my fingernail isn't exactly cutting it...(would take hours to remove it all)

If you have access to a buffer then using 3M or M105 cutting compound should do the trick. Finish it off by polishing the lenses with M205 or 3M Polishing compound.

He intends on removing the clear coat and installing 3M Ventureshield instead.

After buffing and taking the clear off the lights will still have a glossy finish but if ventureshield isnt installed the lenses will oxidize in a few months.

Not sure who Bruce is, nate

But if the question was intended for me then you can fit either 70 or 80 mm.

Here is how the 80 mm ones look like.

Sorry, this is the only picture I have that the customer sent in, I love the Xb halos as they are bright as day light and are more dependable.

I have a Porter Cable but I don't have any 3M or M105 cutting... I have some Menzerna SIP. Will that work?

Oops, sorry It's been a long morning for me. Those look good. I've been thinking of picking up 2 sets of those for my lights, but wasn't sure on the size. Hoping they're more reliable than the Umnitza lights. Thank you!

I've heard nothing but good things with this product. Even though they've only been offered for a short time, can't hurt to try them. The price is pretty reasonable too.

Yessir. They are pretty cheap and from mine and other's experience they are pretty solid when it comes to dependability. Only problem is that the 80mm ones take a shit load of modification to be done in order to make them fit. The ones shown in the picture I posted above are 80 and it took me almost a whole day trying to make them fit properly in the narrow TL headlight.

I picked up a bottle of M105 and M205 today...
And man I must be doing it wrong because it is a real pain in the ass trying to remove this clear coat. Even with a Porter Cable it took a few hours to do one headlight. You have to go at it at a certain angle or it won't cut correctly.

Shouldn't take a few hours to remove clear coat going over such a small surface. You should be able to get that off in under 20 minutes with a PC and M105 + yellow cutting pad.

Most customers use a separate switch to trigger the auxiliary projector low beam, high beam is wired to go on when you turn your factory hi beams on.

DRL would be non-functional or would have to be relocated. I am not sure but does the 07-08 TLs have a DRL warning sign on the dash? I know that 4G TL does.

they do but ive rectified that issue already since i have the led driving lights. The module from v-leds fixed that for me, so i would leave that installed so i didnt have a drl error light lit up and use the auxillary projector for low beams. Im wondering how difficult it would be to do to rewire that or do you do that inside the lamp?

The new auxillary projector will operate the same as the original bi xenon projector? or independant of the original?

Sorry for all the questions, I love the way they look. Can you send me a pm of what it would cost to do the "darkness" theme above with usr clear reflectors in my 07 type s headlights please?

Thanks JNC
