Thanks, bud. Yes, I have, the sealant is a bit tough to work with and fit and finish of internals isnt that great but still good enough to be modded/used.

Not the greatest picture but here is the key difference between V2 and V3, in V2 the whole piece is painted black where as in V3 the inside ring is left chrome.

Another multi-colored halo set up

Details

07-08 Base TL headlights
Blacked out V2
USR clear diffusers
CF corners
ZKW-R lenses
side emitting LED strips
Umnitza multi colored quad halos

My camera doesnt pick up the bright colors as well as I'd like, hence I am posting only a few of the different colors that the halos can produce, I believe there are a total of 8 colors. Pink, blue, white, red, green, purple to name a few

Lens restoration

Full scale lens restoration also available now. If your lights have aged badly and have mild or severe hazing, pitting, scratches etc then send them in and get them rejuvenated, just like how they were when they first got put on the car from factory. Lens restoration includes application of clear coat to avoid UV damage.

Most of the TL headlights that you see posted above have been slightly or heavily restored, I try to make sure that each set that goes to the new customer looks its best before getting installed on the car

PM me for pricing.

Here is an example.

BEFORE

AFTER

what do the side diffusers look like at night when wrapped in CF? is there any amber at all? Also, when you do the partial amber, do you just break off the other half?

JNC, that Jeep headlight restore is fantastic.
RL lights are absolutely stunning. Is that silver amber painted corner just a parking light or signal?

When the USR diffusers are wrapped towards the corners with CF, it only covers the area that is suppose to reflect light rather than diffuse light from the turn signal/parking light bulb. So the area that actually lets light through is left untouched.

Here is how it looks like without lights on

and here is how it looks like with light on, bulbs that are used are switchback.

In case of partial diffusers, I use oem amber diffusers from 04-08 base model headlights, diffusers are cut to cover the corner of the turn signal reflector as you can see in the following picture.

Thanks, bud. Yeah the Jeep headlights did turn out to be awesome, the owner thought I had gotten him a new set rather than refinish the old ones :chuckle.

In case of the RL, the turn signal is actually below the low beam projector and high beam reflector, small reflector as you can see, the diffusers on the turn signal is already clear hence I didnt have to do anything there, the amber piece in the corner only covers the parking light. As suggested in the post above, it still lets plenty of light through as I only painted the diffusers slightly.

24no7 : which year TL do you have?

Quad retro labor is $250, which includes labor for blacked out etc as well.

Here is the kit that gets used. PM me for kit pricing.

will the missing-DRL indicator appear to the dash if I retrofit my 08 TLs headlight to quad-xenon since the inner pair headlights are DRL on 08 version? And how do I control them with the stock swich seperately if I only want to turn the outter pair on sometimes? or I have to turn all of them on at a time?

With the quad GS retros that I do, most members just unplug the DRL relay to rid the light on the dash, I believe thats what TL owners have done as well.

A separate switch would help controlling the extra set of lows.

MattB07TL's headlights

Matt sent his headlights over to get them fixed, he had initially done the project himself but didnt like the way it turned out. Project took three times the normal time due to the fact that the lights were in poor shape and had severe damage due to the epoxy/adhesives used.

Details

Here is what was mended

- Removed OEM sealant
- Removed secondary sealant that was applied
- Removed adhesives used inside to adhere the halos and diffusers
- Mend adhesive channel
- Mend main chrome bezels
- Replace broken bezel on the driver side
- Resruface USR diffusers, shaved for proper fitment.
- Resurface front lenses, inside ( to remove epoxy resdue left by epoxy fumes) and outside
- Re-solder all four halos to avoid issue with them failing down the road

Mods

Blacked out V2, glossy black
USR clear diffusers with CF overlays
ZKW-R lenses
Cross bar painted gun metal as the chrome was damaged due to epoxy

^^^I was thinking the same thing...very cleanly sealed and closed. I think part of my problem this last go around was I didn't let my butyl stuff get hot enough and it prevented me from closing all the locking tabs on the outer edge of the assembly. JNC obviously knows what he's doing!

Thanks for the answer above btw...fantastic.

[QUOTE=JnC;13139074]Imabeast31 sent his lights in a few weeks ago to had them redone. The front lenses were shot due to heat damage caused by being in the over for too long. He also got into a fender bender and damaged the passenger side light severely, which included broken inside bezel and completely shattered inner side mount of the headlight plus the headlight itself had a crack.

Couple of before pictures to show the damage and condition of the front lens.

As I personally love challenges like these I wanted to fix these lights
Since you love challenges would you do a retrofit projectors & halos in my 03 Cl headlights

Yes, those are indeed $300. Installing them is a pain as well as there is tons of wiring involved but it is kind of cool being able to change colors on the fly.

Here is the original post for the above mentioned headlights.
