Considering selling my TL-S

Oh I believe you like getting ripped off.
boo hooo... I'm fucking Canadian and can't get inexpensive parts. My time is too important for me to do the work myself. I'm pretty sure some of the cheap places for parts including delray, rockauto, amazon and fleabay ship to the tundra.. maybe it's a little more in shipping but still cheaper than the dealer.
We have fucking members in here paying over $2k for a timing belt job on their J3x's. If you're willing to pay that much, I'm sure the shop is more then obliged to take it. It's not fucking rocket science, there are DIYs out there on the NSX. You don't have time to work on your car, then pay someone to do it but at a reasonable cost. Just because people are willing to pay x amount of dollars, doesn't mean it's expensive.
We have a member who owned a E60 M5.. He would tell us tales of SMG issues, members paying $7k just for a new trans (just the trans). Then issues of the vanos oil pump going out (very common). But a reasonable gearhead is like hey, machine the engine.. nope, the honing kit costs $20k.. not including machine shop labor and putting it together.. members would just end up buying a crate engine.. at $26k.. labor not included.. for a car that's worth $30k. Now tell me the NSX is expensive. That's not even the worst of it, just an example of your flawed logic.

See, what you're failing to understand is not everyone has the means to be able to do such work, whether it's because they don't have the tools, space to work (like living in a condo or apartment), time due to family, work, or even the ability to tear into a car. Some people have all that but don't want to work on rusted to shit suspension/brakes, etc, so they pay someone to do it.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to shit on everyone else who can't.
Yes, there are more expensive vehicles, in terms of maintenance, and I bet if you ask anyone on here why they chose Japanese over European, they'd say it boils down to maintenance costs they'd prefer to avoid.

2) You don't need tools or space to educate yourself.
3) I reiterate, the maintenance cost of a NSX is par with most Honda products

Too bad NY state has a front license plate requirement.
Do you still have the original TL-S wheels to go with any sale?
In post # 7 (from member JTS97Z28) I think he hit the present valuations accurately and his advice on a well-written "for sale" add is important.
I am partial to solid interior colors, but your clean, low-mile 2008 TL-S's interior would not have kept me from offering you $24 K (and working from there).
Recently shelled out $22 K for this '08 MRP auto, grey/oyster solid interior, 46 thousand two-owner miles, out of a BMW dealership in Knoxville, TN. Been super so far and just LOVE it! I was looking for KBP or WDP.....
We put 146 K miles on a Redondo red 2006 TL with Navi, did major service at 106,000 miles, and liked it so much we kept it in the family by passing it to our daughter. Never gave us a bit of trouble.
And as long as there is an NSX yearning....
In early 2005 bought this one out of NorCal brand new, well under sticker.
Loved it so much, came back winter 2008 to add:
A photo of both -
And an extra!
Hope you enjoyed the pics.
Next summer the Imola Orange NSX will be going in for its first major service (on time, not miles). I expect to spend $1800-3000 depending on what is / is not found. I expect to use an accomplished NSX specialist on the east side of Cincinnati, OH, named Source1 Automotive.

This is not true. You would have to get a private loan which normally you have to have collateral in order to obtain, otherwise you are looking at credit card interest rates....

Nope. Auto loans have been available for as long as I can remember for private party transactions. Please take it from me, I have owned 25 cars since I turned 16 18 years ago and more than half of them were purchased private party. Even though it's now paid off, my latest private party transaction was my current 07 TLS. I bought it from a guy down in Atlanta less than 2 years ago with a used car auto loan. My rate was 1.99%.

I very recently bought my 07 ASM TL-S 6MT with aspec for $23,600 from a private owner in CT. The car was flawless with only 27,000 miles on it. The only hang-up was the credit union could only offer me a loan of $18,000 for it which was the NADA value. KBB valued it higher but they refused to deviate from NADA. I assume this will be the case with just about all banks and credit unions. Whoever buys the car will need to pay the difference between asking price and the NADA or KBB value.

^^^ yup! Heck, I even bought a $42000 Corvette Z06 from a private owner with a loan. So again, I'm just not sure why BC2G is telling me I'm wrong when I have done it...multiple times.

I love the KBP TL-S but the automatics aren't rare. I found plenty of them doing nationwide autotrader searches. Now find a KBP 6MT. Good luck. Wish I knew how many of them were in existence.

^^^KBP isn't rare? KBP isn't rare, yes that statement is truth but what makes it rare that it has Ebony/silver interior, most KBP out there right now are Taupe interior and they mostly been molested with CAI or some source of debadge beside OP car condition is almost new it just like he took a delivery CPO as of yesterday.

Yeah the KBP automatics are actually pretty easy to find. Limit it to KBP with Ebony interior and things get a little more difficult. Make it KBP/Ebony/6mt and you'll be traveling. When I found my MRP/Ebony/6mt with ridiculous miles I knew I had to jump quick because there won't be another. Yes I know they are just a family sedan, but you gotta admit one thing that makes them kinda cool is the uniqueness especially the very hard ones to find (Ebony interior and 6mt).
oh yeah, it's the forgotten CBP

No way, can easily find a CBP 6MT on autotrader. MRP or KBP 6MTs are the rarest of them all. I spend too much of my free time looking for rare cars online. An ebony KBP is a little harder to find over taupe but not by much. I stumbled on my KBP 6MT Ebony after searching numerous times a day since July and finally found one and bought it from the dealer before they had finished the listing and posted pictures.
1 owner, full acura maint on carfax, exactly 60k. I know how rare she is and I love it.
