Compliance bushing orientation

Compliance bushing orientation
My Mechanic installed new compliance bushing without marking the index before removing the original compliance bushing. Can anyone tell me - should the arrow on the bushing point toward the front of the car. I mean directly straight down the road as the car would point forward? My Acura dealer was not exactly sure?

what arrow? I have pics from when I changed my bushing and there is no arrow on it. I have the pics showing exactly where they need to be oriented, but maybe I'll upload it later if im not too busy

pics of bushing
This is the pic it took at the acura parts department showing the arrow. I then took this pic to the acura mechanic to ask about the orientation. He said he thought it should point forward but was not sure. Kind of a non-answer.

Addition info about bushing pic
I just remembered that compliance bushing pic I posted is for a 07 TL - not 08 TL. The Acura parts guy was fairly sure they looked the same but he did not stock the bushing (special order item).

hm i should probably take a closer look at my pic again for that arrow. in any case, thats probably correct. only thing is, theres no exact way to position the bushing so you know its facing 100% straight forward. they should have made a mark on the control arm from factory

I honestly don't remember if I paid any attention to orientation when I replaced my compliance bushings. And I don't remember anyone who replaced these as a DIY mentioning orientation either. Here's a close up of the bushing in the control arm. You can see a mark on the arm, but I don't remember any markings on my arm. I think maybe he etched the arm himself?

Edit:
Yeah, appears there are no markings on the arm itself. See this link (photo #2):

Bushing orientation
Here is a new twist on the bushing orientation. I went back to the dealer parts dept and asked to see both compliance bushing for the 07-08 and 04-06. As it turns out, the earlier version has an arrow and the later (correct) version uses a 'X' instead of the arrow. Even stranger, when you flip the bushing over - the 'X' is on facing the opposite direction.
My guess now is that the bushing need to always be north to south (as the car points down the road) for orientation unless the bushing has a top and bottom (up or down) then I have no clue.
Anyone have any ideas?

since this thread is getting interesting i have gone ahead and uploaded my pics from 2 yrs ago when changing the bushing. The bushings in the control arm were original so they are in the perfect orientation. This is for 07-08, not 04-06, so I guess that's why I never saw the arrow in my pics, just the X.
