99.9% sure the answer is no. Most either swap to a type s rear bumper or pick different quad tips.

Nah, sorry.

Most people cut their base bumper and fit in the Type-S A-Spec lip, so no need to buy a new bumper =D

The thing that sucks about SSM is they changed it to ASM in 2006 which means the lip would be ASM too.

Or find cheap dual tips that fit! I think we have 6" of room back there and the type-s has 8"? Anyone want to confirm?

Mine on a base aspec with the $67 mod tips!

Are those Magnaflow? Reminds me of what the body shop put on my car after my accident.

I think the opening for the base is too small for quads. I always thought the tips looked too small, so i upgraded to the type s rear...

For Comparison

My base rear:

New type-s rear:

(Don't mind the crooked exhaust, gonna have that fixed... eventually)

ASM isn't very far off from SSM and its HARDLY noticeable on the rear a-spec lips.

Very true.

Mis-match still sucks, though.

I spotted it right away when I saw this car.

Especially when our damn bumpers are already a different tone than the car (SSMs and WDPs know what I'm talking about).

Yea I can see that. I like the earlier color better.

pnoi521 they are literally $67 stainless tips from some yahoo dealer. I think they look fantastic.

Type S tips will not fit unless like they say, you cut the bumper a little. The quad tips are wider. Thought about it for my car too, but I would have to buy a new rear bumper. So keeping it old school for now.

What's sad is that the aspec kit matches the bumper but it doesn't match the car!

bringing this thread back up for an answer for myself and a combination I have not seen anyone write but i'm sure atleast one person has done it. I have like 10 tabs open on quads and cutting base bumpers etc and found nothing

I have 05 TL is the most basic proper easy way to do a clean quad tip is to cut out the sides below the upper notch of the mouse hole 1-2 inches and insert the OEM REGULAR TYPE-S black molding around the exhaust? and do i cut the outter portion or the INNER portion (someone mentioned inner on ONE thread, seems less common but poster said it would look cleaner and better than cutting the outter edge of the bumper)

This sounds substantially cheaper than a type-s rear lip cut, or tl-s rear bumper+lip

thanks
