Built not bought
What's up guys back on here to update where I'm at with my 04 TL so up to this point I've added Aem cai, atlp v2 j pipe and test pipe, rv6 pre cat deletes, p2r throttle body spacer, deleted the mid muffler and replaced the stock resonator with a dynomax. Needless to say I sound like a fart cannon lawnmower right now lol. I was planning to put on some magnaflow 14827s but decided against now I have two new mufflers just chillin here but bought another resonator that I'll throw on next week. In the cosmetic dept all I've done is an hic roof spoiler and d2 coil #livinglow I also have a ur crank pulley that should go sometime in the following weeks.
So what do you think guys? Other more experienced tl owners where do you think hp is at? I raced an srt4 the other day from a 30 roll and we were neck and neck. I've also been torn as to what wheels I should throw on I really like the sbc rpf1s and the mb battles any suggestions?
Thanks for the input azine!

Chopping up the stock catback usually doesn't do much other than sound...an aftermarket catback will give you a small bump in hp with the rest of your mods...at least usually it does.
The lightweight pulley helps a bit, less rotational mass means it takes less effort to spin!
Stiffer motor mounts will help reduce wheel hop, but will cause more vibrations (makes it feel like a race car lol). People seem to get decent gains with the 3.7 IM and the Hondata tuner...that's where you'll see the biggest jump is when you can tune for all the mods

Definitely needs a kit.
OP. As for HP numbers. Dont expect much of any increase without a tune.
If you think a tune is a pain in the ass then I say this without due respect but maybe car modding isnt the hobby for you. I say this because a tune is really the first thing that should be on your mind if you're trying to go at this like a hobby verse just throwing bolt-ons at the car. Which is where I would say you are at right now. Nothing wrong with bolt ons. Thats all Ive got right now. But with just bolt ones you are looking at less than 20hp. Id say less than 10 honestly.
Your bolt ons all sound like great purchases. It probably sounds like a fart cannon due to your muffler deletes. I would replace the stock muffler where deleted and maybe even ditch the dynomax res for the stock one. The j pipe, test pipe, and rv6 pre cat deletes should be enough to make it sound good.
As for wheels rpf1s would be a GREAT buy. The SBC finish looks awesome too. Pull that trigger before you come back a week later and say "okay what should i get for 500?"

Instead of playing a "guessing game", why not just go and dyno the car?
Everyone can play the bench dyno game, but if you don't actually dyno the car, you'll never know the exact numbers. Not two vehicles with the same mods put down the same numbers. There's a ton of factors of why one is higher or lower than the other.
Don't sleep on the A-spec kit. They are going to be extinct soon enough. If they don't have your color, just get any color (full kit) and have it repainted.
