Gotta get them made elsewhere. You can get new parts from the dealer, then find a shop. I think some folks have used:

I found that site searching the forums. I'll probably end up using them for chroming, but I'm hoping someone has some for sale. Every shop in my area that does chroming can't do plastic badges for whatever reason. Thanks though.

what paint did you use for that?

Duplicolor adhesion promoter in a spray can, helps chemical adhesion.
The rest is from the BASF RM Diamont auto paint line.
BC101 pitch control, I should have used BC100 clear base instead, both have pretty much the same effect using it like this though, both are clear base.
D403 black
UR50 reducer
DC5100 clear
DH14 fast hardener

i did what powerflow did and they still chip. if its not dipped in pvd chrome.... i dont think it'll stick the way we'd like it to. after a few pieces of rock or sand hit it... the nice finish u just painted....comes right off....id rather save up a few xtra $$ and send it to a pvd chroming place.

Looking for new mods
how much is PVD Chrome... I may have to debaged my car and just keep the fron A and the rear A...In my opinion cars look cheap when the are completly debaged.

Tripn, did you solvent clean, scuff really good, and adhesion promote?
I've never painted a surface material like this before, so it is trial/error, wait and see what happens. I have used this paint line for many years and in general it does stick, adhere very well to sensitive materials, if done right.
I would consider doing it for others, but they would have to be understanding that I do not know how it will hold up at this point. I do have tons of experience painting difficult substrates though, so I could experiment with other methods if I had time.

I know someone whos got the chroming machine n solution but i dont know if they have the gunmetal chrome ....ill find out today and see whats up with it and if theres a way to get the gunmetal if he doesnt have it... at which point ill dip mine and let u guys decide on how it turned out.

Yeah dippin definitely sounds like the ideal method.
I talked to another painter I use to work with, he did the exact same thing on a TL, guessing around 6 months ago. The customer never came back, but I do not know if they included the typical lifetime paint warranty. Usually finicky customer that would have this done, would be back asap if there was any problem. Judging from how well it went, after it fully cures I think it could hold up, but its just an optimistic thought right now.

cool. and if anyone will finally f-ing make them, I will buy them for sure. they should do the little strip above the license plate too, that'll need to match. the major three pieces should be the front & rear A emblems and the strip above the license plate, even offer them on a core charge. I would Paypal for this in a heartbeat.

What about the front grill? If you have the rear, might as well do the front.

that's a great point! Heck yeah! do the front grille (3 pieces) and the Front A, and then the Rear A and the rear trim strip. package it for 150 bucks and throw in a core charge. you'll make boo-koo bucks and we'll all be much happier because our cars look so SWEET!

Yep, I used Atlas Chrome a few times to experiment. I had a full set of emblems and grill pieces black chromed that SteveP66 purchased from me. I still have a couple of peices left. 2 rear A emblems and I plan on using the darker one. I also have the '07 hood trim with some black chrome added to it. The '07 piece has a different look due to the nickel plating.
As far as how long it takes Alex to work on them, expect 3 weeks before you get your pieces back. Alex only works on the pieces when the weather conditions are right. If there is to much humidity then he will not work on them.

The only problem with that is for someone to do this the core charge would be quite high. The license plate strip can not be purchased separately as it comes with the license plate assembly and this is over $200.
When Alex did his chroming he put in a disclaimer that he is not responsible for replacement of the parts if the OEM plating bubbles up during the chroming process. This was a concern more for the grill and license plate pieces and not the badges. I had considered being the go between for this but the time involved and what ever the vendor cost would be made me decide not to do it.
