Unfortunately I don't have any pictures with them on. You can do a quick search and find other 3G members that have installed them in the past though.

Before I ordered them, I also wondered how they would look next to my factory HIDs. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it was a VERY close match. These LEDs are almost completely white. But like I said in the first post, they are a PERFECT match for the Osram CBI HIDs, and those are 5000k.

Shipping was extremely fast. I'm on the opposite side of the country from them, and I received the lights 2 days after ordering.

Really, the Philips HIR2 puts out 1875lm at 55W , and their HIR1 puts out 2530lm. In fact they put out much less than HIR1 bulbs that put out 2530lm each. Not the 4800lm combined all those led's put out.

You want the best light output with out having to match every bulb on your car. Go HID or HIR2 or get a conversion plug to use a HIR1 in the 04-06 foglamp housing.

Maybe I should have said "MOST" halogens. I meant halogen bulbs that you can buy when you walk into a autozone, o'reilly, advanced auto, napa, etc...

There are a lot more halogen bulbs out there that output 800-1800 lumens compared to those "select few" high-performance halogen bulbs that output 2000+ lumens

Oh, like the LED foglamps you can buy at the local parts store? At least, HIR bulbs can be bought at certain car dealers and even John Deere dealers.

Of course, they make ridiculously high wattage halogen bulbs. I witnessed an e36 with 120w bulbs melt his wires and housing.

Yes, these LEDs can be used to replace halogen main beams as well as fogs and DRLs.

I did a quick search on the Sylvania bulb guide, and it looks like the '03 Legacy uses an H3 bulb for the fogs. So you could replace both your main headlights (H1), as well as your fog lights (H3) with these LEDs.

sweet, thanks for the response. Since the headlights are DRL on low beams I can just leave them on all the tine as the Legacy has auto off headlights (pull e brake or turn car off)

I'll contact the seller to see what's up. He may be performing site maintenance, or it could be something on your end. I'll see what he says.

Sure, I will ask about the cart also. The seller told me he doesn't see any issues with the site right now. It may be your work's network that's blocking something.

DRL are actually high beam 6V on Subaru and the 9007 high beam is for GT only

Another quick Q those things say 6000K but they look way closer 4300K are they really 6000K? I prefer closer to factory HID lighting temps.

I was just speaking in general- these LEDs are bright enough to replace the primary halogen headlights on cars, in addition to the fogs and DRLs (whatever is available on your car).

Regarding the color, please see one of my prior posts HERE.

Check out THIS thread for doing the Independent Fog Light Mod. It's not too difficult.

Are you ordering from a computer that's connected to a work network? Another member had issues with his work's internet blocking access to the merchant site when he tried to make a payment for his lights.

OR, are you trying to make a payment with American Express or Discover? The seller informed me that he does not currently accept either of those cards as payment methods.

I just went through the order process myself and did not get any errors.

Ordered myself a set and at that price, seems like a steal.

These are simply plug and play correct? I bought the 9006 one's for my fogs on my stock 04.

Should look pretty good as I just got done restoring the headlights because they were so yellowed and aged. The lenses are now practically brand new looking so hopefully these LEDs look good.

I'll post some pictures once installed.

One last thing I forgot to ask, do I need to remove anything (bumper?) to install these or do I simply removed the old bulbs from the rear of the housing and install these in their place?

thanks

Yep! Plug-and-Play all the way . The install is just like you said- simply remove the old bulb from the back of the housing and replace it with the new one. No bumper removal required. They will look great with your restored lenses!

The Frosty Fogs came in for my mom's SRX today. Hopefully I'll get these installed tonight so I can post some before & after pics. The packaging was really cool for these H1's!

Correct. It's pretty incredible that only 2 LEDs can produce so much light output.

Interesting ... I placed my order today with my Amex and it seemed to go through fine. I even called an hour later to confirm that I had selected the correct bulb type and he saw my order and didn't mention any payment issues. I hope mine ship soon ...

Check out THIS thread for doing the Independent Fog Light Mod. It's not too difficult.
Thanks dude! I'm about to go install them now at 3:30am haha. But when I opened them both of the little clips the adapter thing plugs into are broken at the bottom where they clip in to make a tight connection *shrugs*. I have them in there pretty snug and I don't think they'll wiggle out but, maybe it was just some bad luck on my part. I'll report back once I have them in!

One last little nit pick, I promise. How can these be the "best" LED head/foglamps at 2400lu a piece when the 5th gen Cree put out 3000lu a piece. That's a 25% increase in light output. To me I'd consider those the "best".

I think you're taking it too literally. I myself take it to mean the best kind, regardless of what he meant.
