Anyone know? 3rd Gen TL SOHC or DOHC?

What's a good place to look for specifications on all models (base, A spec, S type)?

3G TL is SOHC. The only V6 Honda/Acura ever made that was a DOHC was in the NSX.

Specifications can easily be found by googling or even looking through acurazine. What kind of specs are you looking for?

By the way, you're really only looking for base or Type-S specifications. The A-Spec was simply just a dealer add on package, more so for looks, with some suspension tweaks. No additional power, no change to brakes, no change to interior. As far as suspension goes, I think the A-Spec only lowered the car a little bit and made the shocks/springs a wee bit stiffer.

Googled and looked thru forums. Looking for years the A Spec was made, and if it was DOHC. Thanks for the answer, tho!

Ugh dude, did you read anything that was posted and replied to you? your question was answered, the 3G TL is a SOHC. Both the base 3.2 and the 3.5 in the Type S. He stated the only Honda motor that was DOHC was in the NSX. Aspec is just a dealer added body kit

For a second i was completely confused when you said the only DOHC Honda motor is the NSX, but then i read Tacobellos comment that its the only V6 DOHC. Whew, mind at ease.

Yes. But only in the Australian market. Because they're located on the other hemisphere, they have a 2.3L engine instead of the more common 3.2L. It's honda's way of keeping up with the times. Their TLs are also RWD as opposed to FWD, and RHD instead if LHD.

Those statements are not totally correct. Here is the info....

"The TL A-Spec kit will include:
High performance, track-tuned shocks and springs
Lightweight 18x8.5 alloy wheels
High performance Yokohama 235/40VR18 95W tires
Performance brake pads (automatic transmission-equipped models)
Aero kit featuring front air dam, chin spoiler, side skirts and choice of deck lid or rear wing spoiler
A-Spec steering wheel
A-Spec badging

couple notes:
the 8.5 aspecs are NOT lightweight alloy wheels. they weight just as much as stock rims if not slightly more
and the performance brake pads are only for the rear.

^^^ yeah that's true. I have actually weighed the aspec wheel and tire against the type s wheel and tire and the aspec should be called the "heavy wheel package" compared to the 17" TL wheels. I suppose they pulled that out of their butts.
