Acura TL 2006 Hood lift supports

I have my hood life supports gone and i need to replace them. Can anybody please tell me if 2005 acura tl hood lift supports fit for 2006 acura tl. The reason being is any local store such autozone or advance auto parts dont seem to sell lift supports for 2006 but they do have for 2005. I need to replace them as soon as possible.

thanks in advance

Replaced mine last year. Bought them last year from www.rockauto.com.

Around $14 - $15 a piece for the EXACT SAME ones sold at the stealerships without the Acura name on them.

Just received a replacement set of hood lifts from Rockauto.com

Shipping was very fast and these are the exact ones that came as OEM.

Installation for both took two minutes total.

It's amazing what a difference these make. My originals could no longer hold up the hood in cold weather.

I highly recommend RockAuto. Lowest price I could find anywhere and very fast shipping.

I need to order these tomorrow. I'm scared to check my oil without the hood falling on my head.

I thought I was the only one using my noggin to prop up the hood.

I just put mine on a few days ago. Probably the quickest and easiest part you will ever install on your car.

You can use you're battery cover between fusebox & hood to prop in the meantime for anyone else "using their head"...lol...

I did mine about 3 weeks ago. I used my snow brush with an adjustable handle to prop up the hood...Oh, wait, you "southerners" probably don't know what that is...LOL....

I took that part # to O'Reilly auto parts and they had it in the store. Installed on my 2007 TL in about 1 min. per side. There was no left and right side part, I just rotated the arm a half turn on one of them. They work perfectly. About $50 for the pair after tax. I could have paid less if I mail ordered, but I'm leaving on vacation Saturday and was tuning the car up. I also replaced the radiator overflow plastic cap, $3 from the dealer and an easy DIY. Thanks to all the contributors here! I'm at 89,000 miles on my 2007 TL.

Hate to revive an old thread, but need to get my lift supports replaced before winter hits.

Will this part number: SACHS Part # SG326009

fit my 07 TL base/w navigation? Reason I ask is because when I enter the part number on the RockAuto website, it says its for 2005-2006 models.

The dealer wanted $200 for parts and labor. I just replaced both of mine on a 04 tl for $34 in parts from amazon and it took about five mins to replace both of them. Its so nice not having to hold the hood up with my head anymore.

did you not read the whole thread?

P.s. also, if you went to Rockauto.com you could choose the 04-06's or the 07-08's.

but they are the same.
which was concluded in this thread.

Amazon is also offering a $5 discount if you buy 2 StrongArms. I did so last week and installed them in 5 min.
