A1 Service Due Soon? Do i still have time?

i have a little under 7k mi on my 06 tl (a/t). the amber light recently came on saying my A1 service is due soon. Does that mean i need to call it in now to get serviced? or will it tell me exactly when i DO need it? i checked my oil life and it was less than 15%. thanks guys!

ps anyone know the price of the A1 service?

You probably have another 1,000 miles before the message becomes "service due now"-- it's in the manual. Do the service within the month.
Since the A1 is an oil change, oil filter change and tire rotation (with a bunch of visual inspections), the price should be modest- $40-$80. Some dealerships will charge more, so you should call around, or go to a trusted independent mechanic.

You have time

...it'll say "Service Due Soon" for a while...then it'll say "Service Due Now" for a while...and then it'll say "Service Past Due" and start counting miles.

I didn't get my last A1 done until I was about 200 miles past due...oops!

And I paid $45 at my local dealership for the A1 service.

It's all relative...a ripoff to one person may be a great deal to another. The price also depends on the part of the country you live in.

Just call around to other dealerships or shops and see what they say...if you can't find a reasonable quote, just do it yourself...it's really easy...search the forum for DIY's.

I was going to do the A1 myself, but for $45, it was worth the convenience of taking it to the dealership. And as a bonus, my dealership uses only Mobile 1 Synthetic Oil

Oh, and they checked the fluids and washed my ride.
