3G TL j-series swap

I have a 3G 2005 Acura TL the car has a 6 speed manual transmission and I was wondering what j series cylinder heads or blocks are compatible with my transmission that will gain it more horsepower

the motor you have is already a solid base 258-270 hp already. Do work on the existing motor. Swap J35 heads bsis cam PNP the heads, intake manifold, runners , then full exhaust , intake flashpro and you should be pushing close to 320-330 WHP. Do some research I have owned my TL for a little over 2 yrs and I learn something new every day

All j-series heads fit....
without tuning tho, you won't gain much....

I swapped to 3.7l MDX heads but wasn't tuned and lost power

I would have kept the 3.7 heads, if I didn't accidentally bind the block...
i forgot to install the tiny pin to the crank, and the crank shaft spun out of position, then my dumbass tried to start the car...locked the whole engine up!

Just ended up buying a used j32 and had a mechanic swap it for $650

i'm sure if you tuned the car for the extra air, you'd see gainz.
as some of you may recall, i didnt change the heads cuz i wanted too, i changed them cuz i bent valves

which lead me to the 3.7l heads...which then lead to a broken block.
and that is why they call me JustonJacks

This seems rather simple compared to what user i_hate_cars went through. Last conversation I remember he said he spent nearly $20k just to reach 320 whp, and in the end concluded it was better to just go turbo.

^^

Yeah, a J32 isn't going to make 320-330 with those mods. I'm FBO and Flashpro tuned and probably around 265 whp. Cams and head work might put me at 290 if I'm lucky.
