Afternoon ramblers. Hope y'all have a good weekend. Going to "Marvel Universe Live" tonight because the GF got tickets for us for my birthday last year, should be pretty cool!

There was some serious public outcry here about insurance rates and how bad companies were gouging people, so many years ago, I think about 8 years ago, the government stepped in and put caps on what someone can get for soft tissue injuries (aka whiplash). I think they capped it at like $4500, amongst doing some other changes. The gov also told the companies that hey, we're limiting how much people can sue for injuries so you better be dropping your rates or we'll make life unhappy for you.
I think after that my insurance dropped by like 1200/year. Paying 3000/year wasn't bad. Being a little older now, I'm paying 3100/year to fully cover three cars. It would be lower too if I didn't have a speeding ticket on my record, but oh well. Such is life.
I thought Ontario had government run insurance, no? I know Saskatchewan still does. Insurance here is all privatized now (and has been for a long time)

Confusing Name Guy
Adam its as private as it comes - half of it is run by the banks so price gouging shouldn't come as a surprise. Its by far the highest in Canada. Sask and Man both have crown corp insurance and its capped at 1200$.
Again, mine is a bit of a misnomer because im by far the highest insurance bracket. My parents pay about 3500 a year for two vehicles, and thats from a discount from my mom's nursing union.
Also I have pretty much full coverage, 1000$ deductible with RBC. This is pretty cheap compared to the 6 grand everyone else wanted me to pay lol

Thanks, dude...yeah, the First Lady has some pretty good baking skillz. It's a bit of a challenge these days since Little Cha can't take dairy, eggs, or gluten...so, as you can imagine, it's pretty tough to make a tasty-cake. But, we found a gluten-free mix from Costco that's not bad that he seems to enjoy...it's a rice/almond-flour mix.

Yup...part of my stress...he's allergic to all three. So, this is our struggle to getting him to gain weight...f*ck, most of the foods that help a kid get big and strong contains milk, eggs, and wheat.

I'm sure you guys will fit right in here Yummy!!
I'm a bit lactose intolerant too.. Parents realized while I was young so cut back on the milk and subbed in homemade soymilk. To this day I'm not big on milk but will drink it on occasion.

I watched "Charlie Victor Romeo" last night.
it's A documentary derived entirely from 'Black Box' transcripts of six real-life major airline emergencies.
it got pretty intense listening to the back and fourth between Tower control and the pilots when they encountered emergencies.
if you like planes and technical details, check it out!

Chickpeas & lentils & hummus, beans, edamame, nuts (almonds mainly), berries, rice, quinoa, buckwheat (not wheat!), almond milk is what he eats mostly.
You have the "luxury" of adding meat to that.
