Sounds about the same. Wife and I may try to catch a movie on Sunday...either "The Man from UNCLE", "Ant-Man", or the new MI flick.

Yeah, they're just calling it the Spicy Sriracha Jack sandwich these days.

I'd post a picture but it's nothing you want to see. Plus you can always find a representative picture on google.

That does it. We need to tag up at some point. Drink some tallboys in the JITB parking lot.

I deviated from normal and got the Sriracha wank with curley pubes this time. But usually the only time I go to the Jack is when I'm feeling self destructive and I order what I've come to call the "I hate myself and want to die" meal.

Sourdough Jack, Pube Fries, Two Tacos, and an Iced Tea (because I may hate myself but I still got to watch mah figure).

Nope, I forgot. Forgo the tea get a shake. See, I'm not all emo and teary eyed right now and forgot about the all-in choco shake aspect to throwing caution to the wind.

Well that's good for him, after spending so much money on curb hopping & engine blasting the TL he deserves to dip his crab leg in the sea.

LOL. I almost bought one of those before I got the Miata

I love that car. It's known as the "clown shoe" if you see the side profile. They came with two different engine offerings (I believe in the later years they came with the s54 engine, but don't quote me on that). Very fun to drive.

I got turned on to it after an acquaintance of mine bought one and did an epic road trip to Alaska with one other guy. There's a serious cult following behind that car.

But law, I was worried on buying a 30k, 10+ old BMW with no warranty. I've heard they are actually pretty reliable, but I was too afraid to bite the bullet.

Clown shoe!!!

It's a hate it or love it thing. I hate it, it's disgusting.
I would not buy a 10 years old Bimmer because I already did and it's wrenching all the fucking time. Like every god damn weekend is about fixing shit so it runs unlike with the TL every weekend is fiddling with things because why not. I was always attracted to the German cars but they live up to their hype of needing work. I wouldn't say unreliable, but they need special care.
In comparison a decent Jap car is pretty much getting in and turn the key. Oh and change oil sometimes.

I got one at home... I'd lie if I said I ever used it. Nothing wrong with using a clean kitchen towel to dry the leaves instead of tossing them.

I know. It wold have been dumb of me to buy it. Like I said, I've always heard they are reliable, but that could just be in the realm of BMWs, which isn't saying much. That guy I mentioned who got me into the car, did an epic road trip to the NWT, not Alaska. My bad. He killed a goat with the car while getting down there. Poor goat. He also tracks it regularly and the car simply flies around the track.

Dat rear end with fat fucking rear tires and quad tail pipes in between is

Some of his pics I dug up:

And the goat aftermath. Apparently the roof rack almost complete took the goat's head off

I've been shit swamped renovating a basement, so I've had zero time to deal with the car. It's just been sitting in my garage since I got it towed home. It's easy enough to fix, but I just don't have the time, until about the middle of September.

Road trips are pretty sweet, don't think the only way to make a road trip is with a Bimmer. Nothing the TL can't deal with.

Fair enough. I'm interested what the failure location looks like. I've got my theory and am curious how your line/fitting looks. I'd appreciate a pic if you get the chance when your digging into it.

Not gonna lie, the TL would likely be pretty nice to take on such a trip. The two guys that did that trip are known for taking obscure cars to random places. The guy who rode shotgun took his '98 NSX for a 4000km round trip through the west side of the US- because he could. And it was one of those "do the trip as fast as possible" trips, as opposed to taking the time to enjoy everywhere you go. I can't imagine sitting in an NSX 12 hours a day, for many, many days.
