'06 TL foglight bulbs LED vs. Halogen?

I'm changing headlight bulbs on my 06 TL, and figure I might as well replace the fogs while I'm at it (driver side headlight burned out). I think I'm going to use Osram 66240 CBI for the headlights.

I prefer white fog lights over yellow. First question - I think the halogen bulbs are 9006. Any suggestions on good premium halogen bulbs that are brighter than stock. I see basic sylvania's on Amazon for about $10 pair and sylvania "ultras" for about $35 pair. Any real world difference?

Second question -LED or Halogen? My experience with LED's is that they are very bright, but in a flood pattern. I want the sharp cutoff for my foglights, not a flood pattern. I live on a twisty, hilly country road. I use my fogs regularly and with oncoming traffic, in part to see the road better and in part to see deer and other critters that like to jump out in front of me.

Thanks for the input!

there is no cut off line for foglight, I have HID then LED in my 07 fog light and never had issue with the beam pattern with the LED. I use Option 7 LED kit BTW.

07 and 06 are completely different beasts when it comes to fog lights. The 04-06 are part of the main headlamp assembly. I would put money on it that LEDs in there would be very wonky on the beam pattern. With normal halogen bulbs, it is an extremely flat and wide beam pattern that is extremely useful on dark roads since it shines off to the side beyond the regular headlamps.
