'06 TL Base Mod ideas

Looking to upgrade my TL a bit and make it stand out because i see a lot of TL's around my neck of the woods but no one that has actually taken any time to make them their own. I have already picked up a set of the Endless quad tip Catback's from EndlessRPM. Trying to do just little things here and there for now until i can actually have time to do things like the Fog light retrofit as I have seen many users do.

On another note, if there are any members in the Hampton Roads area that could help me out that would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read the post.

I have also been looking around and it doesn't recognize the burgundy as being a standard color for the year of my TL ('06). I suspect that it may have been repainted but if anyone could cast any insight into this that would be awesome. Thanks again

Welcome to the forums!

First are you going to cosmetic or performance? How deep are your pockets?

I'm not entirely sure at this moment. I think I would like to do a little of both. As for the pockets... I wouldn't say they are terribly deep but they're not shallow either. I know for sure some of the first things i want to do is get rid of the crap tires that I have right now because they are crap in wet traction and I can only imagine they would be worse in the snow which I'm about to transfer to DC where snow is a major concern. I have been looking at the Conti DWS-06's.

First - the button to the right of the quote button is multi quote. Will help next time before multiple posts replying 1 and a time.

Second - Invest in a Summer set of wheels and Winter set if you can! I like that you think about the important stuff first! No point in mods if you smash up the car from shitty tires.

Third - Some cheaper introductory Performance mods would consist of a CAI, UR Crank Pulley. Some cheaper cosmetic mods would be Tint, Interior LEDs, HID Fogs, LED Reverse Lights, LED Rear Turn Bulbs (Mod the Relay to avoid Hyperflash)

There is a few, I am sure others will fill in the blanks as well.

If you don't mind I will probably be coming to you guys for a lot of how-to's and where-to's for this stuff. I'm still pretty new in regards to this TL. Just picked it up last year after I totaled my '15 Forte.

Spend some time looking here: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...-first-553557/

If that doesn't answer your specific question, I've had a lot of success going to google- typing a phrase and including AcuraZine in the search.

Long tube J-pipe and TL-S rear anti-roll bar (pretty cheap from the dealer) will be your best bang for the buck mods. Both are bolt on mods that if you have some mechanical ability you should be able to handle on your own.

i actually just picked up the endlessrpm quad exhaust and i was looking at grabbing their J-pipe next. the next tackle after that was i was looking at getting the K&N CAI. Any thoughts? because apparently from what i have been seeing on a lot of people's cars is the AEM is the weapon of choice.
