'05 TL power steering o-ring size??
Hello all,
been having power steering whine with recent really cold weather.. looked up issue and bought o-ring from dealer for the inlet nozzle....replaced and still have noise. I also pulled o-ring off of the outlet [high pressure] hose. I noticed this o-ring is slightly bigger than the one for the inlet nozzle. After some research I find that the one for the inlet nozzle is 13x1.9 mm and the one for the outlet hose is 14.8x1.9mm? I cant locate this one on the dealer part lookup schematic.. Does the outlet o-ring generally cause the pump whine as well? Does the system need to be bled after replacing the o-ring[s]
Thanks a lot.

I'm no expert so maybe someone more knowledgeable will lighten you up a bit more.
I think anything that lets air in the system will cause that whine.
You don't really have to bleed anything once the job is done. It'll whine for a moment because you just opened up the system and air got in. Once that air will be out, the whine should be gone.

did you put the o ring on the nipple of the inlet manifold or put it in the pump if you put it in the pump that wont seal it, put on the nipple then slide into pump and bolt it on, the inlet getting air is the noise, make sure the hose is clamped good cut a 1/2 inch off and slip it back on, also make sure the screen in the bottom of the reservoir is not plugged pull it off and wash out with brake cleaner or dish soap, if that doesn't fix it the pump is toast
