Roger, I've had mine for over a year-no problems. Mine also came from AutoLumination.

Are these easy to install? Would you need the load resistors?

Yes, they are easy to install. Yes, you need a load resistor ONLY if you dont want hyper blinking. If you dont mind it then, no you dont need a load resistor

I had switchbacks since back when they were invented. The first versions of them sucked because they used flux LEDs. I had many issues with them and went through a few sets. 2 yrs ago SMD based ones came out and I jumped on them. Totally different. Working perfectly fine. Why? They are SMD of course, that's why.

As a matter of fact most every regular LED has died over time with my car. My DRL LEDs, puddle lights, domes, vanity, trunk lights, glovebox, you name it. They have ALL died on me here and there. Even the cathode tube license plate lights I used to swear by. But anytime I have replaced any of these bulbs with an SMT based bulbs, new story. When you go LED ONLY go for SMD!!! Trust me!
