Ya we were told if we leased they would go down even lower since there is incentives for leasing, but they did not go through the lease route and bought the car using low interest rate acura fiancing offered. Also we were shown in our district there were hardly 12 advanced cars left and zero left in our state. The car that they choose was actually in Georgia at Ed Voyles Acura.

Congratulations on your new lease! I hope you have many safe miles with it!

I am sure this one rides much more to your liking than the 2014 you had......

Thanks, I actually reached out to the GSM of that dealership yesterday. Haven't received a response. No biggie, as that 2014 is grossly overpriced...I kind of think either it's mispriced or their just trying to take advantage of the market/rare car.

A dealer up by me, missed this listing by 1 day had a similar car with 21k on it for 30k CPO'd......

Anyway, thanks for the contact info and congratulations on your new ride.

Ask to speak to tina she seems very helpful but yes that 2014 is way overpriced and especially since its only a tech at that. Are you only looking for the hybrid model ?

Yes, want AWD - Not gonna bother reaching back out to them..probably a waste of time anyway. My local dealer is on the lookout, I'm just not a patient person. Thanks again, and enjoy your new ride.

Am looking at a used 2016 RLX Advance Hybrid. The dealership told me it was previously repaired for a deer collision by their shop. The deer collision does not show up on the Carfax. It has been my experience that ANY kind of paint or repair short of a simple Dent Wizard dent removal is detectable when you go to get a trade-in valuation.

So . . . . . ., assuming I bought this car and at a later date went to trade it in and the appraiser says, "Hey, did you know the front end was re-done?" and then goes on to discount the car's trade-in value, what body work discount would be appropriate for buying this car today? Inquiring minds want to know . . . . .

I think it matters as to how much and what kind of damage. If the front fascia or a whole fender wing, hood etc, it may not be noticeable by inspection. But if there was metal work, experts can usually tell. Since it was repaired at the dealer looking to sell it, ask to see the body shop paperwork and then you can better assess it. Likely the dealer did not report the VIN repair if they knew they were going to sell it (they may not tell every potential buyer of the damage). But I do not know if they could report the VIN damage after it is purchased?

You definitely want to know the details of that, and unless it is a dealer you have known for a long time and trust, I would ask for the repair documentation.

The most often heard kind of deer collision in my part of the world is a deer thinking she's got the way, but she doesn't really know how fast you're moving, and she runs into your door at just a few mph.

A deer running into a door is one thing. It won't be cheap but the car won't suffer much after effects subsequent to the repair.

If somebody hit a deer head on at 80 mph, on the other hand, that's a bit of a mess that is sure to affect adversely the value of the car for the rest of its life.

And of course any and all of this can be ignored if they're discounting deeply enough. :-)

Thanks for the advice. Am getting info on the collision repairs today. The sales manager said he recalled it was a frontal impact involving the hood, headlight, etc. Not the news I wanted to hear, so I asked him for the full repair report copy from their shop.

We were in the DC area this weekend and stopped at Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, VA today to see a Silver RLX hybrid with ebony interior. We currently have 2014 PAWS Advance in Graphite/Ebony. As individual choices usually are, that particular silver shade did not check the ownership box for us and we concluded the only color for us in this series is a hybrid advance in graphite/ebony.

Here is my report to my fellow members:
Pohanka has the following 2016 RLX Hybrid cars:
New Cars:
Graphite/gray interior Advance
Black/ebony interior Advance?
Red/seacoast interior Advance?
Silver/ebony Advance

The sales manager has a 2016 black/ebony RLX hybrid he is driving and is ready to make a deal for all of the cars listed above. They made a big point of saying they are the No. 1 Acura dealer in the USA in terms of volume of new cars sold.

In case anyone reading this note has either $195,000 or the ability to finance $195,000, Pohanka has a beautiful red NSX in its showroom.

If any of my fellow Acurazine members know of a graphite/ebony advance 2016 or 2017 hybrid new or used, please let me know. Now have nearly 55K on my 2014 and got 30.6 mpg on this weekend's 670 mile trip.

In the St.louis area there are two Acura dealers. I walked in to both dealers and got a quote for purchase only (not lease), and both dealers quoted me $48,950 with the rebate, also I configured it with the Advance package (normally about 61k). I checked the inventory at both dealers and both have about 6 brand new unsold RLX's 2016's and 2017's, so I bet they're scratching to get them out of there.

From what I have been seeing, that price may be based on a Tech model. Probably $4-5K more for an Advance. That said, the 2017 SHs are hitting dealers (trickling in anyway) and they have been discounted. Since the 2017 model is unchanged form the 2016 model, you can save a bundle negotiating a 2016 'leftover'. And you will save the dramatic 1st year plunge in value this and all premium segment vehicles suffer. I have said it before, and I will say it again, if brand cache and conservative styling are not an issue to you, this car's engineering and accomplishment is well worth more the sticker price.

The styling isn't an issue for me, I quite like it. I was looking into an Advance model that I was offered for $50k. But my current is White and if I did trade it for a new one I'd want a White or maybe a Silver in color.

A 2016 RLX SH Advance for $50k is a steal ( $16K off sticker) . Just be aware if you trade your current RLX they sometimes shift vale off one vehicle to make up on the other. Hope you find your way into the SH, you will feel that you have a very different car, and one with multiple personalities.

Mother of Car God....$50k for a SH Advance?

hoping this keeps up until my lease ends. I'd purchase (ie not lease) at that price.

Is there really a difference in a SH? I really like my car as it sit, I have no complaints.

I was seeing $10 -12K off MSRP on 2016's at the end of last year. The US Dollar is strong enough now versus the Yen that exchange rates are probably factoring into the dealer cash holdback rebates that Acur/Honda is offering dealers. This is speculation on my part ... not sure. But I would expect there will be some pretty good deals after the inventory of 2017s fills in a little.

The difference between a SH and a PAWS is and better city fuel economy.
