Agreed nice looking car, what exactly is bug guard? Also, are those bars on the window of your house?

They're lightweight and bolted to the outside of the frame, so they are probably just decorative for the most part.

The kind of thing you'd put up to keep your children sneaking out in the wee hours to join their friends for unsupervised activities.

Probably.

Look at picture number 4
Side of the house shows huge gap between ground and house with some red bricks

Is this a mobile home ?

houses in this area and in this city atleast older ones are on bricks. Mobile home probably cost more then what the house I am in is worth. Got to get credit up so I can get a house. The bug guard is the (SunTEk one) is the plastic on the entire from and 18" on the hood. In one of the pics if you look you can see a faint line and that is where the bug guard ends on the top of the hood.

OK, enough with the OT comments. Jeez. WTF is up with some posters lately? I go away for a bit and come back to this crap. This isn't Ramblings. Who cares about his house or what's on the clothesline?

Nice job and nice car, krava.

I think two things have happened; one happened gradually and one happened suddenly.

(1)There's been a gradual build up of RLX/5G owners, and they post mostly here. Even Facebook pages don't get the kind of response that there is here. It's a diverse community, with the only thing they have in common being the 5G RLX, and as time goes on they begin to share personalities and personal things.

(2)Krava showed up suddenly. The purchase of the RLX sounds like it's a major undertaking for him. It was very important for him and inasmuch as it was an important development in his life he began to share with us how he got to this stage of life, sometimes shocking us but mostly just engaging us.

I don't think we mind, really. The biggest danger would be somebody poking his head in from outside and stirring things up by acting like somebody doesn't belong when we've obviously clearly all accepted him as a part of the diverse community.

If that makes sense. Maybe it does not make sense. I'm old. LOL....

The house, by the way, is probably older than people are thinking that it is. It looks like one of the near post-War buildings that went up in the big building boom.

The shingles are an old attempt at fire proofing, and they were judged unacceptable for new construction. But with homes built or re-sided in the 1940's and 1950's, you'll find them everywhere in older and rural communities.

South of the Potomac, you would find middle class housing put up on brick and cinder pilings like that because it helped keep the air circulating. In older communities from Arlington to Miami, you'll still see houses like that sometimes.

I enjoy kava's posts. George, you are correct this is diverse group and we all learn from each other. I think majority of the people give him great advice without being cruel or insensitive. Some of the posts are just picking on him but the posts on club Lexus are pretty harsh.

the house is pre 1940 I believe, house is temporary until I can get my credit where I can get a house. Got the money for it but I am not paying 9.2% interest like I did before.

you should get a different house if it makes you happy...

You want to keep in mind that you will have to show more income (on your taxes) in order to qualify for a mortgage. Credit is one component. Meet with a certified public accountant..someone mentioned in another post. The initial consultation is free and get their advice on taxes etc.

happiness is the key to life regardless where you live or car you drive...etc.

Totally agree with this post. A person should never be judged based on what he or she drives or where they live.Everyone's situation is unique and not everyone cares about status. Some people do believe in saving and not overly spending on materialistic things.

What I find fucking funny is there's several affluent neighborhoods filled with small cottage WWII era homes like this in my city ,with bars on the windows, where the price of entry is $500k. Median price is closer to $750k, and I live in a city with a fairly low cost of living compared to most metropolis areas of the nation.

Paging Doctor Bob.. white trash and expletives detected. GK's post should be used to teach advanced psychoanalytical courses. I mean he seriously tried to break down his acceptance that the RLX may be owned by people of a lesser nature. It's a car.. not even a luxury car. Joe Shmoe couldn't tell the difference between an RLX and an ILX.

Krava has posted some suspect stuff, but he's owned an NSX and corvette, lived in a million dollar home, and made millions of dollars. Sounds crazy but he does drive an RLX with upgraded tires.. so there's that. Personally, I'd rather hear his crazy stories then read any of your pretentious posts.

This thread is uncharacteristically out of hand for this part of the forum.

I am trying to figure you out. Why do you insert your anger and vulgarity into a conversation that seems so out of place. The tone and tenner of our threads are constructive and respectful, then you show up and ruin it for the rest of us. I'm guessing you are in your 30's, work in some internet tech related business, and are accustomed to hammering or poking fun of others for expressing their opinions that are different than your own. Attacking someone for where they live or how they live is uncalled for. Krava has done nothing to you. George and Bob have done nothing to you. fsmith, pgeorg, holografique, woropallo and I have done nothing to you. We have all run into personalities like you when we were in high school (you were probably not even born yet) and those were bullies. That kind of behavior may be acceptable or tolerated more elsewhere on Acurazine or other forums, and yes this is the internet so "anything goes", but I like the fact that we are civilized, pretentious, generally successful people who can share ideas without the fear of people like you diving in to a thread and totally ruining it for the rest of us. Do us stuck up snooty people a favor and stay in Ramblings or where ever, just not here. You have attacked most people here directly and personally and life was good before you showed up. Please go elsewhere at the moderator's earliest convenience. Otherwise I respectfully request that you be banned from the RLX section entirely. You have added nothing positive to any conversation that I have read. It is no fun to read your posts. Cut it out.

I propose to everyone else here that if this character posts anything at all moving forward, that we do not respond to anything he says. Let's just ignore him.
