Wow your using 48 led boards for the interior?

I had 16 led boards for my interior for awhile. Got rid of them because they were too bright and it was ridiculous getting in and out of the car without getting blinded. It was way too bright.

Ended up going back to the 360 style bulbs from VLEDS for my interior

Are you talking about interior dome lights and door lights? Those are pretty simple and don't require any electrical knowledge lol. If you can replace a light bulb in your house than you can do it.

Or are you talking about converting the hvac and radio control buttons to leds? That requires a bit more work removing the pieces.
Wait really? I'm basically talking about all the lighting I can replace to leds. Doors, steering wheel, radio/nav buttons and dome lights. What about preventing hotspots? :/

Well, The map lights, overhead lights, door lights, and trunk 9 bulbs in total are easy to replace. Bought mine off ebay, I can give you the link. Easy to do, bright but not too bright. You can easily get crazy bright ones that make you blinded every time you get in your car, not cool. The other lights such as the radio, steering wheel etc. I know of a guy who sells them in different colored l.e.d.s already made. His name is Aaron Wise He mods headlights and taillights hit him up www.wisedetailz.com he's actually on the forum as well under the name "undyingdreams" with a purple TL.

Doors, vanity mirrors, front & rear domes, trunk, glove box, center console & license plate lights all can be converted to leds without any need of resistors. Pull out the old bulb and slide the LED bulb in. Sometimes the LED bulb won't work due to polarity. Simply remove the LED bulb and turn it 180 degrees and re insert it and it will light up.

Steering wheel, radio + nav buttons is slightly more advanced. I haven't done it to my TL and don't really plan to stop I can't offer much help there.

It would look good but I really lost interest in modding my TL after owning it for almost 4 years now. Saving up $$ instead

Lol Travis, Aaron wise and undying dreams are 2 different people.

Aaron wise is no longer on Acurazine. I got him banned for scamming me and many other members came forth and also had similar experience as I did with him. Moderators caught on and eventually gave him a permanent vacation.

Aaron Wise was on Acurazine under the name Sharksbreath.

Austin is Undying Dreams.

I trust Austin. I don't trust Aaron Wise.

What is wrong with me liking a stick shift over paddle shifting? Paddle shifting isnt shifting to me. Its no different than you putting your little lever into "D"

I dont understand why I have to keep defending "my opinion"

I didn't say you couldn't like them in the slightest.

I find it laughable though, that you find it as unfair advantage in a street race & as a result, for pussies. Let's line up & do some runs if it'll help.

lol...ok....let me put it this way. If I race you and you beat me and you're telling a friend about it. If at any point you use the words "and then I shifted into" ..........I find that laughable, because you didnt. You pulled back on a paddle and the car did everything else. But I get it, you're so used to holding an XBOX controller its ok that you think its real

I feel the same way about a guy who drives a car with all drivers aids helping him get around a track. Hes really just turning a wheel and the car is doing the rest.

Seriously, that coming from someone who has track experience, that last comment is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard you say. You know full well tracking goes beyond just shifting between a paddle and a stick or driving aids. Your comment makes seem driver skill is irrelevant.

C'mon brother. That disappoints me if you really think that way. That's like me saying all your mods are why you're a faster driver and not because you actually have over a year of experience. :/

Well now, I don't know what to say I think Trance was trying to imply that driver skill is everything, which I would agree with. He would rather feel the road, make his own decisions up about. Shift when he thinks is right, but with an actual shifter  Yes paddle shifters are quicker as a automatic transmission can shift in milliseconds and way faster than a human shifting. I don't think if you lined up it would ever be so close that you could blame it on paddles or stick. How about you two line up, and well see what happens! Rick what are you driving? That GTI is quite the monster. As long as he can keep from peeling out in.. umm.. every gear and hooks then zoom!

No, you make my comment seem like driver skill irrelevant. All my mods in the GTI are exactly why im fucking faster. You kidding me? All I have to do is mash the gas...that requires no effort. In the Lotus I would totally agree. My mods didnt do anything but enhance the experience and help the car in different ways. But I will give the car credit where its due. Its a Lotus, it makes the track easy. I could take you around in it and by the end of the day you'll be doing lap times like me. But yes, there is a reason Im advanced solo. I think I know how to drive it now.

There are some great drivers out at the track. Do I think that their skill is irrelevant because they're in a car that has a few drivers aids? No.

Its like driving a car with blind spot protection. Now you dont even have to look over your shoulder? Or even pay attention to the road because it will keep you from rear ending someone? Do you see what Im saying?

Let me retract my "its for pussies" statement. Thats what is really grinding your gears. It was a joke.

Ok Im spent on this. you made your point. Im tappin out.

Hell just the other day I was thinking about selling the Lotus and the GTI and getting an R. WITH DSG Tranny. yes paddle shifting. It does get old sometimes.

I should never had said its for pussies......jesus....

but no, Im not selling the Lotus, it will be paid off this week. I want to S/C it...that with my skill should make me a force to be reckoned with

Yeah been in the new house a couple of weeks now. Been working on house projects in my spare time. Swapping out all the lighting and door handles so far. Oh and getting the garage set back up. TL has been running good. I'm still thinking about those compliance bushings. I found a shop in Denton that would do them for $100 a side and I provide the parts.

Soooooo, I ain't from 'round these parts ... But I am in the area until the end of October. You guys let AZine members from other regions attend these meets? Would love to see some different cars and meet some of these people whose comments I've been reading for a couple years now.

Anyone know of a hookup for a good detail? My nbp needs lots of paint corrections. Swirl marks, and jacked up compound/polishing neglect, sand marks, and quarter panel looks repainted. :/
