CES: News and Discussion Thread

Since the past annual threads haven't had much activity, I'm just going to make a single thread that we can update every year.

My brother-in-law does all the promotional booth setup and management stuff for Dell.

They should be doing a buyout of a restaurant in the corridor between Venetian and Palazzo (closer to Venetian).

Since they do a buyout of the restaurant, they have this huge food and beverage minimum they never meet, so they are basically giving away food and booze the whole week and still don't ever break even (according to him).

not sure, but it's one of the first or second on the left as you leave Venetian toward Palazzo in that corridor off the Venetian casino floor.

interesting LG OLED that is so thin that needs to be mounted on a wall.
uses one tiny cable to connect to a sound bar, then you have all your inputs on the sound bar

i thought the speakers were built into the display? That's the popular thing this year. IIRC Sony and Panasonic are doing it

That is would defeat the point of the sb being a hub

I'm actually looking into an LG OLED TV.

They're getting quite affordable now.

Iirc the 55" was like $1500 around Black Friday
