Ohh gosh, the new keyboard has a similar travel to the 12" MacBook.
Forget that. Plus I need a numpad.
I'll stick with my wired apple keyboard

Omg 21.5" still has a spinning 5400rpm platter drive

5k 27" iMac unofficially supports up to 64GB ram, and yes it's still user accessible.
OWC is offering kits for that.

And what an appropriate last name.
Apple Store Worker Charged With Using Bogus Credit Cards to Buy Nearly $1 Million in Apple Gift Cards | NBC New York
Apple Store Worker Charged With Using Bogus Credit Cards to Buy Nearly $1 Million in Apple Gift Cards
Oct 20, 2015
A 24-year-old man has been charged with grand larceny and other crimes for allegedly re-coding credit and debit cards while working at the Apple store in the Queens Center Mall and using them to buy legitimate Apple gift cards worth nearly $1 million.
Ruben Profit, of Cambria Heights in Queens, New York, started working with Apple in December 2013 and transferred to the retail store in the Elmhurst mall when it opened in July. While working there, Profit allegedly bought multiple Apple gift cards using Visa and/or American Express gift, debit or pre-paid credit cards between August and October, authorities said. The total value of the gift cards was $997,000.
An investigation launched in October when Apple started getting notifications of charge-backs, which indicate fraudulent transactions, on the Apple gift cards Profit allegedly purchased.
At the time of his arrest, Profit was allegedly in possession of 51 Visa and American Express gift cards with magnetic strips that had been fraudulently re-encoded with credit card information. He also allegedly had seven Apple gift cards worth $2,000 each.
Profit told police that he was paid $200 for each $2,000 Apple gift card he provided to another individual, according to prosecutors.
Profit faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted. He was arraigned Friday and is being held on $20,000 bail.

Thanks, that's kind of what I figured. I also wrote "life" instead of "wife", but yeah, the computer isn't for me. Might just get her an MBP

Fiddled with the new magic keyboard and Magic Trackpad. Neats
While the travel of the magic keyboard isn't as bad as the 12" MacBook it's shorter than the wired keyboard with numpad.
Also I don't know WTF was up with the display computers (4K&5K iMac, Mac mini & Mac Pro) or if it's something new with El Capitan. But the mouse kept on disappearing after I'd click on stuff or close a window.
Pretty irritating. Only way to get the mouse to reappear would be to guess and move it downwards towards the dock. If that makes any sense
Shaking the mouse back and forth to inflate the mouse did nothing.

over all its pretty fast. The new interface looks pretty slick.
You have download everything as apps...which is odd for certain apple staples, but overall a good thing because it keeps your main layout much cleaner.
Siri...good and bad. When it works, its great.
Touch/on the remote...decent, haven't tested the gyro functions yet.
Overall, any gripes are minor. Its a step in the right direction. When the new stuff gets fully baked it'll be really something. When the apps and games become more plentiful, it'll really be something.

I recently purchased the Creative T3250 2.1 bluetooth speakers and I'm noticing that the audio is out of sync when watching youtube videos. WTF?
Any help?
I'm running a 13" MBP Retina with El Capitan.
I got bluetooth speakers because I'm trying to avoid having to plug in a lot of stuff when I'm using the macbook as a desktop. The speakers have standard line-in available but I want to avoid that.

Looks like it might be a Firefox issue. Safari seems fine.

IIRC new aTV also has Pandora right? Not that I need a 5th way to connect to Pandora... but that's tempting to me

I've had the ATV4 since December and it's a nice improvement. I had the 2nd gen and it keeps rebooting itself from running out of RAM. I set up some of my media with Plex and I paid for the iOS app to stream on my iPad and iPhone when I want to. Plex gets all the metadata and info for TV episodes too so I'm never guessing which one I'm watching. Just waiting for dictation in the next tvOS update so I can search YouTube a lot easier. Until then I'll just keep using AirPlay probably.
