I think Panthers are going to come out swinging because they're pissed and at the same time, Broncos lost a veteran QB and someone that looked promising

Panthers -3, and last I heard 77% of public bets are on them.

I can see Panthers covering. Probably bet the under too since 2 tough D's and a new QB starter for the home team.

If that game would have gone into overtime, I'm convince Newton's head would still be on the field.
There seemed to be a lot pretty nasty (dirty play) hits by the Broncos D; Lots of "head hunting", going low on defenseless WRs etc...

All that said: poor clock management by Carolina all game (so many wasted timeouts) and their sieve of an offensive line is what really cost them that game.

I started him. Too early to play matchups IMO but I get your thinking.

Pretty sure 41 was the under but didn't expect the upset.

Oh probably for that TD run he had right. I'd be pissed as a Jonathan Stewart owner.

Looks like the year's Denver looks a lot like last year's Denver. Which is probably, you know, good for them.

The game should've been Broncos vs. Cam Newton. I'm not sure why he even has receivers if he runs the ball half the time anyway... and then gets creamed into the ground. It's just a matter of time before he has a season ending injury. Looked like he got hurt 3 times last night

I like his ground attack! one of the announcers explained that it's like old school football. he opens up them holes tho!

We must've watched a different game, because it sure looked like Carolina was getting the majority of the penalties for unsportsman like conduct, mask grabbing and whatever else.

He does, and that's probably a big reason why they got to the Superbowl last year... but there's a reason most QBs don't run.

Four hits to Newton's helmet, only one was called.

Carolina was getting penalized for this stuff. There was a long run or pass called back for offensive facemask etc...
The low hits on "defenseless" receivers is not a penalty, it's just dirty.

NFL touting all this shit about player safety. Denver D all but aiming for player's heads and only one call.
A Carolina O-lineman gets an unsportsmanlike penalty and warning (aka Yellow Card) after first TD.

Definitely a lot of questionable non-calls, it will be interesting how the rest of the games are called, Cam's not the only QB that likes to run, see how hits on Tyrod, Russell Wilson and Big Ben are called

What a game! I was already mentally preparing myself for the loss, can't believe Gano missed the kick! Talk about a large swing in emotions in a few short minutes. From 4th and forever to 1st down to a made FG to a missed FG (brought back memories of when Shanahan iced Janikowski probably 10 years ago, starting the trend). Needless to say it was hard to get to sleep after that one!

It was nice to see tight spirals and some mobility from the QB. I very much appreciated Manning the past few years but got used to phantom sacks and wobbling ducks (along with a lot of wins of course). It's refreshing to see someone who can escape pressure then throw a laser. I really liked the way Siemian played. That combined with the revamped OL and improved running game should keep Denver in contention all year, contrary to what all the experts were predicting when our "bottom third of the NFL passing game in 2015" was blown up with the departures of Manning/Brock.

Go Broncos!
