As for the Eagles deal, I'd have been a lot happier if the Fins had managed to get DeMarco Murray from them, instead of him going to Tennessee. At least he would have made a nice complement to Lamar Miller.

Funny thing is, SI.com's headline says "Osweiler, Miller to Texans" and I immediately thought it was Von Miller. Then I found out it was "only" Lamar Miller, and I was like

Dear Denver,

But then again they knew this was the risk when they didn't franchise tag him. So they have a plan B. Truthfully, they could draft the best available QB with their first pick and be competitive for a repeat if they can keep that defense in tact.

Don't see Denver losing that much with him going. Don't see Houston getting anyone, but a QB, they overpaid.

No shit. $18M/year for a guy who was up and down for half a season? I would have liked to have him, but he is unproven. That's a hell of a bet.

Other than he appeared competent at times and knew the system. Now they have to start over. But agree, I don't know that it was a huge loss.

Most of what I see from the ones that really love the game, staying were they have the best chance of winning a Super Bowl. Not running after the money. That ring Brock wears has Petyons name on it. I'd want to stay there and win one with my name on it, not go somewhere, to get 10% more money.

Houston had problems with QB's last year, mainly because the head coach made knee jerk reactions. This signing of Brock was to save their jobs. QB's have a better chance with the coaches in Denver, not Houston.

I agree too - although 10% of his offer is $7.8M - that's a lot of money even when compared to $78M. I guess it's hard to evaluate without knowing how close the Denver offer was to the one he got. I agree with you that staying with Denver and earning his own ring would have a huge allure, and it stands to reason he may have been as close to that possibility as he'll ever be in his career. But even a $3M difference is nothing to sneeze at.

C.J. Anderson signs an offer sheet with the Dolphins. God I hate paying for RB's. Especially ones that seem to get hurt a lot or have bad days when they just won a Super Bowl.

I don't get why the Dolphins let Miller walk in the first place. Anderson seems like a pretty steep downgrade, but I'm also bitter that he killed one of my fantasy teams last year.

Miller was inconsistent at first, then when he finally started getting good, he also started getting hurt a lot. Definitely not a feature back, although he could have been part of a great one-two punch with somebody like Anderson. I'm guessing the other shoe has yet to drop here... hopefully they will sign (or draft) a younger/cheaper version of Miller to play Lightning to Anderson's Thunder.

I guess they may just use him in tandem with Jay Ajayi... almost forgot about him! That's all assuming the Broncos don't match the offer and keep Anderson.

Yeah I think they liked Ajayi. Miller was very servicable but for whatever reason they would not let him carry more than 20x a game.

Oh yea, I forgot about Ajayi, wonder if Miller just wanted too much money to be part of a committee.

Brent Grimes to the Bucs. His wife closed her twitter. Supposedly her choice because she didn't want to hear the hatters.
