All of the Niners good players either retired, decided to take a year off or were arrested and then released.

Their off season had to be one of the worst in NFL history.

What expectations do you have for Manning? Do you still think he can still throw 35+TD

Even if he can't, he is still a top ten quarterback in the league purely because of his knowledge. Hopefully we won't need a #1 quarterback to win a Super Bowl, but I will take him managing our offense over Cutler or 20 of the other guys.

Or worse, Orton or Tebow...

I guess I had deleted those 3 years from my memory when I wrote that yesterday.

I still think he can, I just don't know that he will with Kubiak calling the plays. The days of 35+ passing plays per game are likely over in Denver. I expect the same stellar play from Manning that we're used to seeing though (aside from the end of last year when he dealt with the quad injury).

How can you delete the Tebow year? That was one of the most exciting times that I remember as a Broncos fan. I had never seen so many embarrassing beginnings following by amazing endings. It wasn't that we went 8-8, won the division and a playoff game...it was that none of it was supposed to happen but by some miracle it did, week after week!

I'll never forget nearly falling asleep on my couch during the first half of the Den vs SD game, then Tebow came in and managed to will the Broncos to a win. That was the first of six wins in a row, nearly identical in nature. Nothing to start, then just enough to finish. Add the Pittsburgh game in, with an 80 yard TD on the first play of OT and that season was one to remember.

I was never a Tebow fan before he came to Denver, and I rooted for him because he was a Bronco. Hell, living in FL, I actually had a shirt made that said "I'm a Tebow fan BECAUSE he's a Bronco". Too many people assumed it was the other way around, that I liked the Broncos because of Tebow. I do however appreciate what he did for this team and will never forget that season.

To be honest, I have been a 2%'er when it comes to NFL games for a while now. I also only get regional games, so I don't get to see them play very much. I did watch the game they pulled Orton and the OT playoff win. But the year was mediocre at best. From Wikipedia:
The Broncos' winning streak was broken by the New England Patriots in week 15. Tebow rushed for 2 touchdowns and completed 11 of 22 passes against the Patriots in a 41–23 loss. Tebow was sacked four times in the game and had one fumble. In the Broncos' 40–14 loss to the Buffalo Bills the following week, Tebow had one passing and one rushing touchdown but also threw three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, and two fumbles. He struggled for a third straight game the following week in a 7–3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, completing only 6 of 22 passes and finishing with a career low quarterback rating of 20.6, but a week 17 loss by the Oakland Raiders clinched a playoff spot for the Broncos in the AFC West.
Did we win the division or did Oakland lose it? He then went on to set a playoff record for yards/completion against Pitt, and followed that up with, "Tebow completed 9 of 26 passes for 136 yards and was sacked five times; he also rushed five times for thirteen yards [in the 45-10 loss to NE]."

I like the guy too and want to see him succeed as a football player, but he can do it for another team please.

I've watched nearly every Broncos game for the past 7-8 years and while winning is number one, it's much more fun IMO when you're on the edge of your seat the entire game only to seal the deal at the end. I'll never complain about winning by 20+ points but it doesn't put me through the range of emotions that a 10-9 victory does.

I guess my selective memory has blocked out the shitty end to that regular season (didn't remember Oakland handing us the division title). I do remember the ass whooping in New England though.

All in all it was a rollercoaster ride of a season and one I'll never forget. There's just something special about winning when no one thinks you can.

I wish Tebow the best too, as long as it's not at the expense of the Broncos! I'm sure he's taken his last meaningful NFL snap though.

Brady has completed 13 passes and 1 TD...so, the Pats cheated 13 times so far.

I mean, 1 of the 13 completions was for a TD...so, we're gonna give the Pats the benefit of the doubt that they did NOT cheat on both the throw AND the TD catch.
