^Dude who signed to the Cowboys practice squad yesterday.
Did my 2nd draft. Wow how the times have changed. I got Rivers and Romo with my 12th and 13th round picks. Those guys had monster years and barely got drafted as I was the last to get a QB. Then you got Jimmy Graham who "fell" to me at #9 overall. And damn RB was dry.

^Ours was strange too. I got a lot of players in Rounds 5-7 that 2-3 years ago were first round. Our scoring system favors QBs (something we need to fix), so QB's go quickly. Manning/Rodgers/Brees always go in round 1. I had the 12th overall pick so I went later for my QB, and by the time I got one in Round 6 RGIII was best available and most teams already had their QB, some of them had two. By Round 8 they were mostly gone for all practical purposes.
Oh and I had to draft Crabtree too. Too much value for where I got him to let him pass by. I took one for the good of the team, but took a shower after the draft just the same.
OK back to the topic - so does this thread get renamed to the official in-season thread or do we start another one?

even the best Tight end in the league is no match for a good RB or QB consistency-wise.
im surprised you got him as early as you did.
I would choose him as my first TE possibly TE/RB/WR flex FIRST.. but over the money maker positions... nah.
ps, if he isn't injured this year, he should be a monster... I've seen him in person twice... once last pre-season, and once this pre-season.. dude must have put on 15-20lbs of straight muscle (as if he wasn't massive enough)

Normally I agree but he has projected in the mid to late first round. The RB's available at the time were Foster and Murray. I took Murray 3 picks later as I was #9/10. After that it was Martin, Bell, and Stacy which I didn't merited 2nd rounders. QB is too high there IMO. I do well taking QB's late.

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin can't help but feel sorry for him.
"I'm going to pray for him," Irvin told reporters Tuesday. "It's going to be a long night, man. We've got to just take advantage of it."
The Packers' starter at center, JC Tretter, sustained a fracture to his left knee during an Aug. 22 preseason game against the Oakland Raiders and was played on short-term injured reserve Wednesday.

So I'm sitting here watching the pre-game. Aside from the match-up, they cover:
a) Peyton Manning/Broncos
b) Suspensions (Welker, Gordon)
c) Some 7th round draft pick who didn't make his team and got signed to a practice squad.
Really. Look I have nothing against the guy or who he gets his kicks with. But enough already. He's gay, not a new life form. Mercifully this should be the last day anyone outside Texas will have to deal with this news. He's all yours Dallas.

As much as it pains me to say this, I'm a partial Seahawks fan this year...well at least R Wilson and P Harvin. They got me off to a nice start in fantasy! Harvin is just so damn fast and I love that they move him around and find ways to get him the ball. It was funny last night how he almost looked too fast for his feet to keep up at times.
