Not really a great playoff pitcher...very mediocre numbers...but, I guess if the BoSox feel he's worth that amount.

Over/under on when the Red Sox regret this deal? I'm going to say after year 3. I like Price, but that's way too much money for a 30 year old pitcher.

Cubs sign Lackey to a 2-year deal. Not bad upgrade for the #3 spot behind Arrieta and Lester.

John Lackey agrees to two-year contract with Chicago Cubs

Cubs signed Zobrist. I knew he wouldn't stay in KC but was hoping I'd be wrong.

Cubs send Castro to the Yankees...

While I think Castro's ceiling is pretty high and he's so young, Zobrist is probably the better fit for the Cubs.

Yeah, just saw that...Heyward will be quite nice in that Cubs' line-up. I would assume he'd bat #2...?

Cubs have made some nice additions this fall/winter...of course, the Cubs being the Cubs, I expect the other shoe to drop at some point. It always does.

With the Red Sox and Cubs both adding much needed pitching it looks like we could see each in late October

Any SF fans happy about this? Looks like Cueto was left with scraps...probably not what he was looking for in the FA market.
