Masters Golf Fan Accused Of Trying To Steal Sand
By: Associated Press | News Channel 7
Published: April 09, 2012
AUGUSTA, Ga. --
Authorities say a 40-year-old spectator at the Masters Tournament has been arrested after police say he tried to steal sand pebbles from a sand trap and then led security officers on a foot chase.
Richmond County sheriff's Capt. Scott Gay tells The Augusta Chronicle that Clayton Price Baker is accused of slipping under the ropes following the tournament and trying to put the sand in his cup.
After a short foot chase by Augusta National Golf Club security and sheriff's deputies, Baker was apprehended Sunday and charged with disorderly conduct. It was not known Monday whether Baker has an attorney.
Gay said Baker, who is from Ohio, did not get any of the sand in his cup.

awesome finish. bubba crying after shows his true colors, hes not a machine but someone whom loves the game and pours his emotions into it. His father died shortly after the 2010 Ryder Cup, he just adopted a baby boy, embraced his mother after the win. Good for him, he deserves it. Masters is an amazing tournament
Oosthuizen's double eagle set the tone until Bubba went on the birdie rampage on the back 9. I thought he was money on his birdie putt on the 1st playoff hole but for him to throw down that 40 yard hook from the trees on the 10th was ridiculous.
Kuchar and Lefty were pressing, it was a really exciting back nine. I was stoked to see Fowler and Bubba's buds come out to give him a hug after he won.
Watson hasn't taken a golf lesson in his entire life and refuses to watch video of himself. That's awesome.

this is going to be the summer of golf. I went last weekend to the course shot +19 over 18 holes. Had two bad holes (double par) but quite a few pars but no birdies.

Need advise for U.S. Open Golf Picks.
We run an office pool here at work. You can pick 2 players from the top 10 ranking, and then you pick 4 other players. At the end you add up their $ winnings and the guy with the most $ wins. Anyone have some good insight who will win the 2012 U.S. Golf Open?

I have to eat my words. Tiger made Phil and Bubba look like third tier players at the County Am.
I think his approach shots are light-years better than just a few months ago. He is a least giving himself a chance for birdie.
Besides David Toms, Matt Kuchar, and Jim Furyk, I don't see anyone within 5 shots of Tiger come Sunday.

I like Furyk as well... besides him having a trophy wife and house, at the same age, I have something he doesn't... a full head of hair. har har har.
Graeme is a could be and Westwood is way past due. At any rate, it's fun to watch. And who would think with great weather, only 1 fairway bunker, and no water.

Those last 5 majors to go pass Jack is getting harder as time creeps to be 40 years old.
I still can't believe Tiger folded like a cheap suit.

Was a fun open to watch, I wish Furyk hadn't imploded on 16 and lost, but I was happy for Simpson. Furyk falling apart reminded me of when I was at the Oakmont open in 07 when he was leading and imploded in the same fashion.

I still think Furyk has a good shot at getting another U.S Open title. He's such a good Open player, a real grinder. I don't think Tiger will get 5 more Majors, although I can see him winning a couple more.

Will Tiger get 83 wins and/or 19 Majors??
I think that Tiger Woods will eventually break Sam Snead's record of 82 PGA Tour wins but will come up short of breaking Jack Nicholas's record of 18 Majors. What do you think?

The great thing about starting out with golf is that you can improve very quickly. The tough part comes later when you try breaking 90, nad then 80 for 18 holes. You are right in that it's a sport that can be enjoyed throughout your life unlike many other sports.

Breaking 100 & 90 were a struggle. Breaking 80 'just happened'.
Once.

Just played my first 18 hole round. Ever. Went with a couple people from work, including my boss. It was fun which was all I did it for, but it was fucking hot.. 100.
I go to the driving range every now and then but haven't actually played a real round (9 holes) in about 10 years. Made par on 2 holes, bogey on 2 holes, and the others were just what the fuck ever lol. Amongst a lot of bad shots, I had some nice ones and nice putts.
Was pretty cool, I think I will try to start playing more often.

Nice imj.
I picked up my clubs after a 2 year hiatus. Playing a few really nice courses at the shore in a few weeks and need to get back in form quickly. I'll tell you it's like riding a bike. Hitting em pretty good after only 2 times at the range.

Growing up on a golf course, working at a CC, and 4 years of HS varsity golf helped me a lot. I used to be a scratch golfer. Now if I pick my clubs up three times a year I'm doing well for myself.
Still pretty much a scratch golfer though. I actually find the less I play the better I do.
