lucky ass Argentina. I was hoping they would draw. They do not at all look like a team that can win the whole thing, overrated yet again.

Its no luck, Its Messi. He's arguably the best player in the world. He had a few good shots that he normally makes but missed. Only a matter of time until he got one in, and what a spectacular goal that one was. It was a dissapointment that they only made one goal. You can see Iran puts alot of bodies near the goal everytime its Argentina balls. Iran did a good job defensively, they hired a Portuguese veteran head coach and it pays off, well, kinda, lol

US vs Portugal is going to be fun to watch. I wonder if Portugal star player will play, i think he's still injured. Even if Portugal got spank by the germans, they are still pretty good. With soccer, alot of times games are unpredictable. I mean, Spain and England are out , they were consider the top teams. I think we have a really good chance this year. crosses fingers.

USA USA !!!

Once again everyone needs a win to advance. This World Cup has been absolutely great.

U.S.: Altidore out and Dempsey is playing with a broken nose.

Portugal: Ronaldo is playing.

The second half the the Germany vs Ghana game yesterday was incredible. Ghana look so fast and quick to the ball, and lots of skill. What a shame that only 2 teams in this group will make it out.

Go USA

Goddamit we need to have better touches on the ball and get some good passes together. We've had some really good chances. Still plenty of time to get on the scoreboard.

Damn it.

So close.

Still we have a good chance of advancing as lone as we do not get blown out by Germany.

Which might happen. Of course, I thought Germany would blow out Ghana, and that did not happen.

US didn't earn it. They tried to rely on defense when they should have relied on possession. Bad decisions, bad passes and fear of challenging the ball did them in in the last 5 minutes. Very similar to Real Madrid v Madrid atl a few months ago.

I hope and think that Portugal will play Ghana hard. They will also have Pepe will be back in defense. They need to score a goal or two against Ghana.

I think right now the US has 2 goals on Ghana and they have the tie breaker.

Seriously, what was up with player number 20 in the beginning, who basicaly gave portugal an assist.

and also, who was guarding the portugal player that score their 2nd goal?? Number 20.....

One good thing I like about our performance is that we create alot of shooting opportunity. If we keep doing that, we will have a good chance against German.

We still have a good chance of going through...

- Win/draw vs. Germany
- Loss and Portugal-Ghana draw
- Loss and win tiebreaker vs. Portugal-Ghana winner

If the United States loses, Ghana would qualify instead if either game is decided by a margin of two goals or more. If the U.S. loses by one goal, Ghana would need to win by two goals or be involved in a higher-scoring one-goal win. For instance, a 1-0 scoreline in both games would put the United States through on head-to-head. So, if the U.S. loses 1-0, then Ghana must win 2-1 to qualify on goals scored.

To surpass the U.S., Portugal will need a goal-difference swing of five (head-to-head is level). So for instance, Portugal would need to win 3-0 and U.S. lose 2-0, among other equivalent scorelines.

US and Germany will play their asses off on Thursday. If there has to be a winner in the Portugal-Ghana match, I'd rather have it be Portugal because of the -5 goal differential.

Damn the game yesterday. 95th minute! Really!

Anyways, as previously stated this World Cup is just that good. Netherlands is the best team so far with 8 goals and a virtually unstoppable Van Persie and Robben combo.

All games should be fun to watch. Enjoy!

The U.S. would have advanced yesterday had Meme Ochoa been their goalkeeper.

Hope they play better against Germany.
