If we finish 1st in the group we play 2nd in that group, but Germany will probably be 1st in our group. So we, considering we get 2nd in our group, would play 1st in that group.

Van Persie coulda/shoulda been sent off for that horrible challenge, almost broke the dude's leg in half.

Goalie should have saved that

Wow Spain. Pitiful. Granted, they did have 2 really tough teams to play. In another group.. with Ecuador and Honduras they would have probably made it through no problem. But you have to beat the best to be the best.

And on that loss, my bracket is officially fucked.

GO USA

Right now I feel like you almost jinxed them.

I am just getting a chance to watch the Netherlands game. That volley from Cahill was AMAZING.

One of the best games so far. Australia up 2-1? No way! Netherlands pounded back are making huge waves with the last two wins.

My over 30 team is supposed to play at 6 PM on Sunday.

We had the league move all the games to 3 so we can be at the bar by 5.

Good call.

Local soccer pub rented a big screen and they are shutting down two streets for the game=packed.

They also built a favela, made national news.

I'm not excited anymore with the way Greece plays. These guys think they're back home playing with the little leagues. Hopefully USA goes far!

Greece and a handful of other teams, England for example won some close matches to get into the World Cup. If you noticed some of the better teams are getting eaten up in this World Cup. Greece is still a top team in the world don`t write them off just yet.

With the exception of Honduras and Ecuador, all other teams have wins and are vying for a another win to get out of the group stage.

Costa Rica may even have a shot at quarter finals since they'll probably be playing Ivory Coast/Japan/Greece.

FIFA sets the jersey colors so there is not your typical home/away.
