Just got into a FIFA bracket at work and have NO CLUE about the sport. Definitely gives me a good reason to watch/get into it though!

Also - this thread has been helpful in picking my group winners (is that the right term?). Any other resources out there you guys would recommend? I am WAY too competitive to just blindly make my selections!

Anyone know if the matches will be available on demand on ESPN3 after they are shown live? I hope I can watch the matches from my hotel later tonight.

One of their goals was complete BS. Granted, Brazil actually scored all 4 goals in that game, but that penalty was complete BS

COMPLETE bullshit call giving that penalty kick to Brazil. NO WAY in hell was that a penalty; it was a flop. And again, complete bullshit disallowing Croatia's second goal, nothing went wrong there.

That was the Japanese ref's first and last game of this cup.

Brazil showed some flashes of greatness today even with the bs call. Croatia was outplayed by Brazil, by a team in my estimation that gave a subpar performance.

Brazil playing ball like they did back in the day. GAME. SET. MATCH.

A few things

1. I like the line they draw for the free kick,
2. The goal line technology looks cartoonish
3. The flopping has got to stop, play the game for christ`s sake.

Woooooooooooooooooooooow. Absolute rape. Spain's defense looks like utter shit. Casillas isn't helping either. Well deserved win for the Netherlands. Great goals too, van Persie's header was awesome.

That being said, my bracket is probably over already lol. Oh well.

Should've been a shutout IMO. That penalty was meh. Well done Oranje.

Good job Mexico. Entertaining win over Cameroon.

Mexico also got robbed by some bad offside calls, but that is fine with me because I don't like them

Chile should win easy vs Australia.

Looking forward to tomorrow - 4 games

Amazing finish! The Ecuador guy was trying to be too fancy, he should have taken a shot! But great work by the Swiss. Gotta give credit to that midfielder who got knocked down but got right back up and moved the ball down the field for the Swiss, they got the goal outta that.

#8 Wilson Palacios for Honduras knee must be in some serious pain. Every time some touches it or even breathes on it he's down for five minutes and they have to bring out the medic and stretcher to look at him.

So brave of him to continue to play for his country with what must be unbearable pain.
